I awake with a start. Where am I?
"Hello Mr. Alder. How are you feeling?"
I yelp. A woman is leaning over me dressed in a doctor's coat. I guess I'm at a hospital?
"Um, fine I guess. Hungry. Really hungry. Where am I?"
She laughs. I don't trust her already. She has a happy expression plastered to her face, and she seems like the type of person that has that expression permanently. Someone that smiles so much you start to think they're insane. Well, if she's my doctor, I really hope she's not.
"Oh you'll know soon enough. You seem to be fine except for your stomach. We'll just need to keep you for awhile so we can ration your food until your stomach grows to its normal size."
She gives me a big smile and leaves the room. I sit up and look around. Is this a hospital or a prison cell? There are two guards by the door and bars on the window. It's just a big, damp stone room. I'm grateful for the blanket covering me.
The doctor comes back in with a tray of food. It's not much but I'm so hungry I would probably eat dirt honestly. After I finish eating I try asking again, "Where am I?"
She chuckles. "Oh sweetie, you'll know soon. The Commander is coming to see you! She'll tell you everything."
"Well wheres Annabelle? Wheres my family? Why did you take them? Seriously what the hell is going on here?"
"I can't tell you." Her southern accent is starting to have a tint of anger in it.
"Well why not? Are you a slave? An agent? Being held captive?"
"I said," she spits through clenched teeth, "I cannot tell you."
"Sworn into secrecy? Do you believe in whatever this place is? Do you agree with it? What is it?"
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH!"
Her face is bright red and a vain is popping out on her forehead.
When I shut up her color returns to normal and she has that smile plastered to her face again. I seriously don't like this woman.
I slump back onto my bed. This Commander better come soon or else I'm making a break for it. With each passing moment I get more and more worried about Annabelle. Where could she be? Are we in the same area, or even the same building? I hope she's alright.
What's bothering me even more is the whole idea of this. So I wake up in a room I think is my own house and then realize it's not. I knock out a girl with a lamp and almost starve to death waiting for her to wake up. When she does wake up we break out of where ever we were, and then go into another room. In that room is a message telling us we join this organization or our loved ones will pay, and then it turns into an elevator that takes us to a creepy house with a storm brewing. Then I pass out. Now I'm here?
Did Annabelle somehow get me here or did she collapse as well?
Where is my family, or is that an empty threat?
All these questions are hurting my head.
I need to get out of here. The only people left in this room are the two security guards and myself. Maybe I can trick them into letting me out.
"Excuse me? Sirs?"
The guards turn and face me. They have sunglasses on, which is weird because it's dark outside and there's barely any lighting in here. They wear all black and each have a bulletproof vest on, with a gun, a taser, pepper spray, and a bunch of other gadgets attached to it.
