Michael woke up to find Dan asleep by his side. A sight he had not expected. He tried tapping Dan awake but that made him snore louder. He whispered his name but it seemed the man was long gone.

Michael blamed Dan for ruining his seduction plans as he softly hit his shoulder. He held it there for a while, feeling up the muscles which probably took years to build. Tension in every touch.
Why Today? Michael thought as he slowly pulled away his hand.

Dan had tensed up with every touch as it sent tingles down his body. It took everything in him not to turn around and give Michael what he wanted. Dan hadn’t thought it intentional when Michael had appeared shirtless, but feeling Michael's hand caress his back, made it clear. Michael wanted him.

And he wanted Michael. He really wanted him- just for lust though. Dan reaffirmed one more time.

No matter the reason as to why he wanted Michael, he needed to play it cool, at least for the next two days. But he could see himself folding if Michael kept touching him like that.

Dan thought of the ways to keep his good guy image and still be able to ravage Michael. There weren't many options. The only one he could think of was self pleasure.

It checked all the boxes except that he would only be able to do it with Michael in his imagination. For now, It was the best fix. Dan thought he felt Michael's hand slowly lift off his back.

All Dan had to do was power through this temptation and wait for Michael to leave.
It sounded simple but so difficult at the same time. Especially when he could feel Michael's head on his back and his arm wrapped around his back.
Be cool. Be cool. Was all Dan could think to himself as he laid there.

After debating it for a millisecond, Michael had decided to use Dan's back as a cuddle pillow as he laid on him. Michael could feel Dan's rib cage expands and contract as he laid his head on him. It felt wonderful.

Hugging that chiseled back had Michael's imagination running wild. He thought of laying in missionary position with his hands running up and down Dan's back while Dan gave him those strokes. Those images were enough for his dreams as Michael smilingly closed his eyes.  But then it dawned on him.

How was he able to dream in here if here was the dreamland? Michael was about to overthink it but put a pin in it as he did not want to lose the buzz that he was on.

Those can wait. Michael thought as he snuggled on his muscular pillow.

================================

Gloria's spirit appeared in her room, standing in front of her body. Her physical being sat on the floor, in a circle that a rectangular box with its edge to the circle. Four lit candles sat on each edge of the rectangle and one sat in front of her, in the center of the circle.

She squatted in front of her body and touched the finger which pulled her spirit back into her body. The candles that sat on the edges went out as she came alive once again, as a physical being.

The candle that sat in front of her kept burning strong. Its golden light cast a huge shadow against the wall behind her. Its light was the only thing that illuminated the room.

Gloria sat cross legged on the floor with her hands resting on her knees. In the space between the candle and her, laid what had aided her magic, a necklace with blue and yellow chains woven together. It's center held a eye, an eye that stares out into the world.

Gloria removed the hood that hid her face revealing her red hair, a tiny ring in her thick nose and her thin pink lips. She then opened her eyes revealing two green monolid eyes. Her gaze fixed on the candle light in front of her.

As she stared she pondered on what she had witnessed in Michael's room. Michael's spirit in and out his body and the pair of legs that had started to build up. Whose legs were those? And how has she not heard of such a vampire? Was this the same prisoner as the soul sucker?

For a witch that have lived so many lifetimes, Gloria thought she knew it all. This was something she was supposed to know. As the saying goes, know thy enemy.

So how did this enemy escape her? Gloria thought as she looked hard into the flames as though they would have the answers to the question that troubled her mind. The flames usually did have an answer but not to this question as it returned nothing but dancing flames.

There were two possibilities to this situation. Either one, she wasn't as great as she thought she was or 2, somebody messed with her memories. The first option was definitely an option but the second one was where the money's at.

For the past reincarnations, Gloria had noticed that there were holes in her memories. She had asked the coven about them but they had assured her that the memory retrieval spell had a 100% accuracy. But she couldn't help and feel the gaps in her memories.

But in light of recent events, she couldn't help but reassess the issue. Was the spell the problem or was somebody deliberately messing with the retrieval process. Gloria thought as she closes her eyes again.

Gloria have always had her memories transferred to her whenever she reincarnated. She always made sure to update her memories to her necklace daily. Usually at night.

It's what gave her the ability to remember all her past lives. Whether it was in the eighteen century or the eleventh century. This necklace was what had given her all those memories. It was one of the most valuable possession of Gloria.

Gloria got up and walked over to the wall that held the switch for the bulb that hung on the ceiling. The white light drowned out the golden candle light as she turned it on.

For a split second, Gloria started to doubt her own memories. If someone had the ability to take away some of her memories, then it meant they could also plant some in there. What if her entire motivation for what she do, was a lie. Gloria shook her head at that thought.

“those memories are real.” She muttered. Reaffirming herself of her belief, her fate and motivation. The one thing that has driven her in all her many lives. Images of her eating oranges with her grandmother in a hut flashed before her. It had been peacefully in that golden candle light surrounded by the clay walls. Before it had be bad, it was good. Before they had came and taken everything away from her, she had something. A sense of love and community.

Gloria walked to window and opened it. The darkness had began to give way for sunlight as dawn approached. A new day was dawning. And so was an old vampire that Gloria would eventually kill.

Gloria had two targets in mind as she looked out into the cold morning. She just had to bid her time.
