The birds chirped and the dogs sang as they sat beside their owner whom was playing his guitar for his daughters and son. The father's name was Rahn Maverick, a well known soldier of their city. With his now deceased wife, Delilah, they conceived three children. The oldest was a daughter named Xeva, followed by a son named Ryuu 2 years later. About three years after Ryuu, their youngest, Zephora was born. Four months after the birth, Delilah was killed by a rebellious mob.
Now, Rahn strives to put his best efforts in providing for himself and three children. It isn't easy when you have to put enough food on the table that would last at least a week at a time, considering he would be called in for work for days on end. At times he really only comes home for a few times a week. But right now was his moment with his children, at last, bonding.
Although, things never quite last for a long time. -- Rahn found himself on his feet after hearing the screams of a woman outside their door. Grabbing a gun he motioned to the back door. "Xeva, take your brother and sister with you. Tell the dogs to follow." He ordered them quickly as he stormed out of the door to find members of the rebellion over a body. Lifting his gun, he was sure not to show any signs of hesitation. "State your business." He spoke with a deep tone.
The men returned the favor with mere chuckles, until one spoke up, "You know General, you've caused a real mess for our group. So you see, we're just here to make sure these things don't happen again." The tonnage coming from him was a bit high pitched and laced with a British accent. The last thing that Rahn saw was a gun pointed at him in the corner of his eye.
*Bang*
Xeva was past their backyard into the woods, running with Zephora in one arm and the other grabbing hold of Ryuu's hand. The dogs nudged the children along as they seemed to understand their pace would be no match for the men that would soon be considered, 'incoming'. Tears streamed down Ryuu's face as he was aware of who the bullet greeted in the distance. Clenching tighter onto his sister's hand, he ran with all his might at the mere age of 5.
Looking along the tall trees, Zephora's little eyes caught sight of a bird. Oblivious as to what was happening, she simply focused onto that bird. It was a cardinal, with wings that seemed to gleam against the sunlight to reveal a brilliant red. Suddenly, the child began to form into a bird leaving her sister having to stop as to attempt to keep hold of Zephora regardless of the odd changes that were occurring. Flying up, she wasn't aware of her actions at this moment. Landing on a branch, she looked about to fixate her gaze upon her siblings below.

Hello! I hope that was a descent intro, considering I'm not too great at those. BUT, this is entirely based off a dream I ended up having. I sorta kinda woke up and wrote roughly 76% of it, but no matter. If you'd like me to continue this please say so by commenting or voting~
(More action to come in the future chapters *And understanding as to what happened*)
Thank ye, lovelies. -Giuta
