Natalie's POV:

I was going to die, that's all I knew for sure.

I shouldn't have been out there at night I knew that but I had to see Tyler, my boyfriend. We never had any time alone and he told me to meet him by the lake in the forest. It was foolish. I was blinded by love. To my horror I found Tyler; dead, he was completely blood-drained and that is when I knew I was going to die.

Vampires.

The only word you need to know. They exist. And I was about to meet one. A Vampire would bring my death. It was useless to run, vampires are faster, stronger, and superior then humans.

*Oh Natalie how could you be so foolish! Now you were going to die why didn't you think about your family! Your mom and dad who loved you always and gave you the best so you could be happy! Most of all your little brother, he was obnoxious sure, but he was family and he needed you to protect him! Look at what you've done; you have now thrown your life away for a boy! You're a Stupid Idiotic Selfish girl!*

I started to cry, My conscious was right I am not a worthy sister nor daughter. All I wanted to do was die now. My family deserved an obedient daughter.

But why was nothing happening? I have been waiting for 5 minutes and I was still alive, still breathing. Was I mistaken did the Vampire leave? Was I safe? I dared not move. Vampires were known to torture their pray - mentally and physically. To be safe I waited 5 more minutes.

Nothing.

I let out a breath of relief. Taking one step to freedom then something fast came at me, making me fall back onto a tree hitting my head hard. My eyes rolled back into my head something metal-like filled my nose, my blood. Soundlessly a dark figure came and stood over me, my death was near.

"You really are stupid..." A cold male voice stated.

I whimpered I was frightened I didn't want to die anymore but I couldn't cry fear was stopping me

The head came closer and I felt the fangs pierce my neck. The Vampire drank hungrily feeding off my power. Everything went pitch black...
