"Hey." she says looking up at us. "Wait why are you looking at my phone?"
I look over at Niall unsure of what to say.
I freeze for a second, the phone still in my hand. My throat feels tight, and I glance over at Niall, unsure how to explain this.
"Dylan..." I begin, but the words feel stuck in my throat. She's already looking down at the phone, her gaze dropping to the message on the screen.
Her expression doesn't change, but I can see the brief flicker of recognition in her eyes. She's seen threats like this before.
"Is this the first one you've gotten?" I ask immediently.
She looks up at me, clearly nervous. "No." She admits.
"I got one last night. It said, remember what I said. Don't get too comfortable."
She looks down at her feet before continuing. "I figured it was from the "fan" I ran into.
I wasn't sure if this was my time to share my part of the story. I didn't know if I wanted to say it in front of Niall honestly.
"Fuck Dylan, thats scary. What is happening? I don't understand why people seem to be after you." Niall says.
She looks up meeting my eyes clearly terrified. I step forward wrapping her in a hug.
"Hey we'll figure this out." I say rubbing her head.
I look up at Niall hoping he'll add words of comfort.
"Yeah Dyl, we'll figure this out. We aren't going to let anyone else hurt you."
I hear the bunk doors open and the rest of the boys come out, staring at us.
"Is this a bad time?" Louis asks.
I pull away from the hug to look down at Dylan, asking with my eyes what she wanted to do.
"Someone's threatening me." She says immedaently.
"What? Because they see you with Harry?" Zayn asks.
It was a fair question, girls love to tweet about our status and how we should date them instead.
"Uh, no. Well at least I don't think." She says before explaining the "fan situation" and the texts.
The room falls into a heavy silence after she finishes speaking, the guys processing the news. Louis is the first to break it, glancing between us with a frown.
"Wait, hold on," he starts, looking back at Dylan. "You think it's just some fan? Or is there someone else behind this?"
Dylan hesitates, biting her lip. "I don't know. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. But now... with the messages, I'm not sure anymore."
I catch her gaze and try to give her a reassuring smile, but it doesn't feel like enough. She's still looking at the floor, her eyes clouded with something darker than just confusion.
"Whatever it is, we'll handle it," I say, trying to sound confident, though I'm not sure I even believe it myself. "We'll get to the bottom of it."
The guys nod, but I can feel the weight of their concern, too. Zayn steps forward, eyes narrowed in thought.
"I don't like this, man," he says, looking at me now, but his tone sharp. "You can't keep ignoring it. Someone's messing with her. We have to do something."
Niall moves to sit beside Dylan, placing a hand on her shoulder in comfort. "We need to make sure she's safe. No more brushing this off like it's nothing."
