Dylan
Harry dropped my hair after that and simply walked out. I wasn't sure if I pushed too far or if he just didn't know what to do.
When I was finished with my shower, I quickly got ready so that Harry could get in here if needed. I decided to wear high waisted denim shorts and a one of the low cut tank tops he had bought me.
I walked out of the bathroom with the bandages in my hand. Harry looked up from his phone and sat up on the edge of the bed. I stood in front of him and turned around. I felt him grab the bottom of my shirt and pull it up. He put the bandages on quickly and covered me again.
Without speaking he stood up and got himself ready. While he was in the bathroom, I heard a knock on the door. I got up and looked out the peep hole seeing Niall with solo cups in hand. I open the door letting him inside.
"Here." he says handing me a shot. I take it quickly and try to hide my face of disgust.
"You aren't ready for this party, it's insane every year. There's lots of drugs and don't want into any rooms with shut door, unless you wanna join if you know what I mean."
"Oh, okay. Um, thanks?" I say giving him a laugh.
Harry walks out of the bathroom in his black distressed jeans and a band tee. Even if he wore almost the same outfit everyday it definitely worked for him.
"We ready to go?" Niall asked. Harry and I both nodded and we headed out the door. We knocked on the other boys door and all headed for the elevator.
We get out to the car and headed towards another lux building. One that may just be even nicer than the hotel. The boys lead me into the elevator and press the top floor.
The elevator opens and there only a couple door on this floor, but its clear where the party is. Harry puts his hand on my waist as he leads me in.
I try to keep it together, but something in me wants to let go, wants to forget about everything that's been weighing on me. So, I dive into the party, laughing a little too loud, dancing a little too hard, as if every movement is to drown out the growing anxiety in my chest.
Niall went over to a bar, chatting with some guy. "Hey, I'm going to go talk to them, do you think you can handle yourself? Harry asks, talking in my ear.
"Yes." I say rolling my eyes.
As I look around the room I really take in how many people are here. There's a waiter walking around with a tray of drinks and I grab one off, giving it a sip. It was insanely strong, but probably what I needed.
I look over and see Harry and Niall are both half-watching me as I make my way around the room. I can feel their eyes on me, like they're waiting for something.
I grab another drink, smiling at the strangers around me, my mind buzzing with excitement and confusion, not really caring about anything except the moment. But after a while, I start to feel the need to take a break. The liquor's starting to catch up with me, and I need to go to the bathroom.
I make my way through the crowd, past the DJ booth and into the hallway. I find the main bathroom, but when I push the door open, a group of girls is standing around the sink. They're laughing, talking in hushed voices, but their eyes flick to me when I walk in.
"Hey, new girl," one of them says, her eyes bright with mischief. "You need a hit? We're just finishing up."
I blink, my stomach tightening. I know what they're talking about. I've seen it before—on the backs of magazine covers, in movies, maybe even whispered about behind closed doors. But right now, I don't know if I can say no.
