The soft mattress hugged her petite figure, warmly wrapped in a cozy blanket. Sunlight slipped gently into the room, casting a golden glow. Her small eyelids fluttered open, revealing the start of a peaceful morning. Her red, parted lips formed a subtle smile, while her tousled brown hair framed her face, capturing the perfect mix of beauty and simplicity in that quiet, sunlit moment.

She slowly opened her eyelids, adjusting to the soft morning light. As she gathered herself, she gently pulled the blanket off, letting the warmth of the room envelop her.

“What happened to me?” she murmured, questioning herself as she sat up from her lonely bed. The mattress dipped slightly, holding the impression of where she had lain. Slowly, she swung her legs over the side, feeling the coolness of the floor beneath her feet as she took a steadying breath and moved toward the restroom.

She completed her morning routine, feeling a bit more refreshed. Standing before the mirror, she gently braided her smooth, brown hair, her fingers moving with practiced ease. Each strand fell neatly into place, bringing a sense of calm and readiness for the day ahead.

As she braided her hair, fragments of last night's arguments with Jungkook and his mother began to surface, the tension and hurt still fresh in her mind. She took a steadying breath, trying to shake off the heaviness. Slipping into a simple white frock, she moved with quiet determination, her steps steady as she descended the stairs, ready to face whatever the day might hold.

Her eyes met Jungkook's, and she felt a slight tension in the air. He stood there, dressed sharply in a black suit with matching trousers, his dark gaze fixed intently on her. His strong frame was evident beneath the suit, his broad chest and defined biceps subtly flexing, hinting at the chiseled abs beneath. For a moment, the intensity of his presence made her pause, memories of their recent argument blending with the undeniable pull between them.

“Are you okay now?” His voice was clear, almost emotionless, his cold gaze steady on her. She felt a flicker of hesitation under the weight of his stare, but she nodded, forcing out a quiet, “Ye—s,” her voice barely above a whisper. Gathering her courage, she stepped toward him, unsure of what would happen next, yet drawn to the silent intensity between them.

“What happened to me yesterday?” she asked, her voice tinged with confusion as she searched his face for answers.

“You fell unconscious,” he replied, his tone flat, eyes deliberately avoiding her gaze. There was a guarded distance in his expression, a subtle wall he seemed intent on keeping up.

“Go and get ready. We’re heading somewhere,” he said, his voice firm and leaving little room for questions. She looked at him, sensing a purpose behind his words, but his expression gave nothing away. Nodding quietly, she turned to head back upstairs, wondering what he had planned.

"Where are we going?" she asked softly, her voice laced with uncertainty. He clenched his jaw, a flash of irritation crossing his face.

"Did I mention you could ask questions?" he replied, his tone sharp. "Just do what I said." His words were gritted, leaving no room for further questioning. She swallowed, feeling the tension rise, and quickly turned away, determined to follow his instructions without pressing him further.

"Okay," she whispered, her voice barely audible as she turned and walked back to her bedroom. Once inside, she let out a small scoff, frustration creeping in. "Can't he just answer my question?" she muttered under her breath, her mind racing with a mix of confusion and annoyance. She closed the door softly behind her, feeling the weight of the unspoken tension still hanging in the air.

Her slow steps echoed through the quiet room as she approached the suitcase. She knelt down, opening it and beginning to pull clothes from the wardrobe. She moved with purpose, picking out outfits, each one a mix of practicality and uncertainty, as though she wasn’t sure what kind of day lay ahead. Her hands paused briefly on a few pieces, but she quickly folded them into the suitcase, her mind distracted by the silent tension still lingering between her and Jungkook.

She suddenly stopped, her eyes landing on a bikini and lingerie tucked away in the corner of the wardrobe. "Ahhh, did I bring these here?" she mumbled under her breath, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "Oh, shit, I forgot," she cursed softly, quickly pushing the items aside, hoping Jungkook wouldn't find them. Her hands trembled slightly as she tried to focus on packing, but her mind kept racing.

She quickly stuffed her belongings into the suitcase, zipped it up, and stepped out of the room, her heart pounding in her chest. As she walked toward Jungkook, he glanced up, his gaze momentarily meeting hers before he turned and started walking further down the hallway. Without a word, she followed him, her steps tentative but determined, unsure of where he was leading her but knowing she had little choice but to follow.

They quickly settled into the back seats of the car, the engine humming to life as they began their journey. The silence between them felt heavy, and she couldn't take it any longer. "Jungkook, please, say where we’re going?" she asked, her voice tinged with frustration and curiosity, her eyes turning toward him as the road stretched ahead. She needed something, anything, to break the tension that seemed to build with every passing mile.

"We’re heading to Daegu, and don’t ask me anything after this," he replied, his voice firm and final. "I’m busy with work." As he spoke, he continued to type on his laptop, his focus entirely on the screen, leaving no room for further questions. She glanced at him, feeling the distance between them grow as the car sped toward their destination.

Later

The driver took a sharp turn, the car's tires humming on the road. Jungkook was still absorbed in his work, his eyes fixed on the laptop screen, not even sparing a glance toward her. Y/N rolled her eyes, a hint of annoyance crossing her face as she leaned back in her seat. She turned her attention to the outside world, watching the scenery change as the city slowly gave way to more open spaces, her mind drifting away from the tension in the car.

The car came to a slow stop, and Y/N's gaze shot out the window. The surroundings were lush with trees and thick bushes, creating an almost serene, secluded atmosphere. As the car door opened, her eyes widened in surprise. Ahead of them stood a grand, decorated hall, its elegant design visible through the greenery. The entire place had an air of luxury and mystery, and she couldn't help but feel a flutter of curiosity and confusion. What was this place, and why had they come here?

"Wow, this place is really elegant," she whispered to herself, her eyes still wide with awe as she took in the grand surroundings. The driver got out of the car and walked around to open her door, but before she could step out, Jungkook was already on the other side, exiting the car with a sense of purpose. His presence was commanding, his expression unreadable as he adjusted his suit, ready to move forward without offering any explanation. Y/N hesitated for a moment, then followed him, her curiosity growing with each step.

They stepped forward, the soft crunch of gravel under their feet echoing in the quiet surroundings. Jungkook walked ahead, his steps steady and purposeful, completely ignoring Y/N. She, on the other hand, was mesmerized by the grand hall, her gaze lingering on its intricate details, the ornate decorations, and the elegance of the place. Her mind raced with questions, but she couldn’t bring herself to ask him, not when he was so distant and focused. She glanced back at him, trying to catch up, but his brisk pace kept her a step behind, lost in her own bewilderment.

Her eyes widened in shock as she felt a sudden tug on her shoulder. The touch was unmistakably familiar—warm, gentle, yet commanding. The scent that followed, a mix of cologne and something uniquely his, filled her senses. The aura around him, that calming yet magnetic presence, was unmistakable. She slowly turned around, her heart racing, only to be met with the gaze of none other than Kim Taehyung.

For a moment, time seemed to stand still as their eyes locked. His smile was gentle, yet there was a hint of something deeper in his expression, something that made her heart skip a beat.
