I woke up to the sound of kids screaming at each other, another 'perfect' day in the sunshine home for children. More like kill me now home for children.
"Sam, get down here or you'll be going in the box of shame for the fifth time this week!" Mrs.Harto the orphanage director shouted.
I went to my closet and chose my Fall Out Boys shirt, a pair of black skinny jeans, and a pair of white converse with a black flower print on it. (Before you say that's sooooo girly it's actually not its just a black flower wrapping around my shoe.)
Soberly I stepped into the hallway leaving my cave for the first time in three days, I know what you thinking "How does someone go without eating or drinking for three days" well my friend Cara brought me that, and don't ask how I used the bathroom. Anyway back to my not fantasy.
I stepped into the madness that was the hallway, dodging boys and girls, I worked my way downstairs. Before I got all the way down Mrs. Harto grabbed my ear and pulled me the rest of the way down.
"You call that nice? We have two people here for a daughter preferably sixteen, and unfortunately you fall under the requirements, and you're dressed like that??" Mrs. Harto hissed in my ear.
"You know they won't adopt me so why am I going in there. No one wants a fangirl as their daughter, the world thinks there's something wrong with us." I said crossing my arms, refusing to go inside to meet the people who wanted to adopt.
Mrs. Harto threw me in a chair, and hissed, "Stay there until I come to get you." And then she disappeared into the room.
I laid in the chair my legs hanging over one of the arms, my back against the other. Mrs. Harto came out a grabbed Cara, I knew I was next, I sunk deeper into the chair.
A few minutes later Cara came out.
"Good luck." She looked excited.
"Sam, your turn." Mrs. Harto said through gritted teeth, I gave her a sarcastic smile as I walked by her. I looked forward and took a step back in surprise. My mouth was gaping wide open, I felt like I was going to pass out with excitement.
"Y..y.. You're Danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil." I said pointing at them.
"Yes kid, now why should we adopt you?" Dan asked, Phil elbowed him in the ribs.
"What Dan was trying to say is, what makes you special?" Phil asked looking at me. I relaxed a little bit.
"Nothing, I'm not special in anyway, I have no friends, no social life. So you should just move onto another kid." I said turning to leave.
"We'll take her." Dan said, to Mrs. Harto. I turned around a puzzled look on my face, Mrs. Harto's eyes were huge.
"You'll what?" Mrs. Harto asked.
"Take her." Dan said again.
"No you want a different kid, she is no good."
"Kid what's your name?" Phil asked.
"TJ." I said.
"Well TJ let's go get you packed." Phil said. My eyes widened when he said that, I thought he was joking.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yea, come on." Phil said putting an arm around my shoulder. "Now where's your room?"
