Reyna  led Thalia through the camp with her silver and gold dogs trotting at her heels. Several kids tripped over each other to get out of her way. Thalia didn't blame them. Reyna looked furious. She brought Thalia to a small building at the end of the road. "Sit." She ordered, gesturing to a hard wooden chair on one side of a desk before settling herself in one of the two cushioned ones on the other side.

"No." Thalia's answer surprised herself, "I want answers and I want them now."

Reyna's eyebrows shot into her hair "You will get your answers once you sit." She said coldly.

Thalia sat down.

Reyna took a deep breath like she was calming herself. "I will answer  all of your questions but first I need to know your story. Hazel and Frank seem to think you're different to other new demigods. You're older too."

"My name is Thalia. I woke up at "The wolf house" about two months ago."

"That's normal." Reyna interrupted "You're always brought there and Lupa trains you before sending here."

"Lupa didn't train me," Thalia told her "Anyway, I woke up with no memories. I stayed there for a couple days before Lupa spoke to me. She told me that I didn't need training- I was already trained."

"Even if you can fight she still teaches you survival skills."

"Apparently I knew them."

"But who could have trained you?"

Thalia shruggedWhat about your eyes?"

Thalia scowled "What about my eyes?" She challenged.

"They're the exact shade of Jason's...." She trailed off, noticing  Thalia's confused  expression. "Jason was the second praetor."

Thalia narrowed her eyes.  "What was his last name? "

"Grace." Reyna said, bewildered.

"Mommy's being mean to you?" Thalia wiped her tears and scooped up the blonde haired boy "Mommy's always mean Jase, avoid her boyfriend though, yeah? He's worse" The little boy scrambled to the ground and looked up at her. His eyes, the same colour as hers, were solemn. "When I'm big I'll fight him. And mommy too. They won't hurt you when I'm a big boy." He promised. She grinned, "You need sleep to get big though.. It's bed time!"

Thalia sagged in her chair, her eyes wide. What was that? A vision? She looked young, twelve at the most... And the boy..

"Did Jason have blonde hair?" She asked Reyna.

"Yes, but..  What happened? What was that? "

Thalia gripped the table as she got to her feet. "Please. Don't tell anyone about that. Please."

Reyna  drew herself up to her full height. "That will be my decision. How do you know Jason?"

"I need to talk to him."

"He isn't here."

"When will he be back?"

She hesitated "I don't know. He went missing six months ago."

Thalia frowned. "You say he's the praetor? What age is he?"

"He's fifteen."

Thalia looked at her, she didn't look like she was lying but how could that be the truth? In her vision he was about three or four... "What age am I?"

The other girl looked surprised "I'm not sure.  Fifteen or sixteen?"

"That doesn't make sense!"

Reyna suddenly got angry "You're not that special. Most in the legion have never seen the inside of the via principalis  but just because you have does not give you the right to interrupt a senior  officer! I am the praetor and I am countless ranks above you, yet you treat me as though I am below you! It is unacceptable!"

Thalia held her hands up in defence "I'm not part of your precious legion."

"Get out."

Thalia stood up and walked out the door.

"Wait."

She turned to face Reyna. "Yes?"

"Im sorry. I lost my temper, I'm under a lot of stress recently. We might not get along well but I hope you will consider joining Camp Jupiter. Go to the river. I'll have Frank show you around from there, Hazel can catch up once I talk to her."

Thalia nodded.

"After the tour you have to see Octavian." Reyna said grimly, "Our augur. Some how I don't think he will welcome you."

Thalia nodded for a second time before leaving. Hazel grinned at her  before vanishing through the door . Frank was waiting for her at the river.

She brightened when she saw what he was carrying- her weapons,

"They're fixed!" She said in surprise.

"Some of Vulcans kids fixed them."

"Thanks!" Thalia grinned.

"So. Uh. Is hazel with you?"

She did her best to smother her laugh, "No. Reyna said she'd catch up. You seem disappointed, you like her?"

"What? No! I mean.. Like she's.. But.. No!"

"Yeah, of course you don't."

"It's just..." Frank leant towards her and whispered loudly, "She has this brother. And he's terrifying. Like seriously. He is the ambassador and son of Pluto and he could probably kill anyone in the legion in two minutes if he wanted to."

"Sounds scary," Thalia smirked "Bet I could beat him,"

Frank burst out laughing. "Maybe not. So, on with the tour?"
