One cloudy morning, with a chance of thunder and lightning, Ms. Lily burst into Fran's room while she was still dozing off. 'Fran! I have amazing news,' Ms. Lily said, cheerfully. She was already in her casual clothes, energized and ready for the day.
An exhausted Fran still in her rose gold pyjamas got out of bed slowly, scratching her messed up hair. 'Huh?...' Fran uttered with a raspy voice.
'Take a look at the stack of signatures we got!' She replied, struggling to stabilize the humongous pile of hundreds of papers stacked together and wrapped tightly with a ribbon.
Even though Fran had just woke up and was still adjusting to the bright morning rays of the sun, she could still make a surprised face as she squinted carefully at the enormous stack of petitions.
'Wow,' She said. 'I'm a bit hazy from yesterday. What were those papers for again?'
   'You really don't remember?'
   'No, I don't.'
'Remember the petition to change the system? Look how many signatures there is! I counted about at least five thousand!'
'Look,' She continued as her eyes finally adjusted to the light. 'that's great and all, but I really want to get some sleep. What time is it?'
'Probably about six o'clock in the morning,' Ms. Lily answered.
'I don't wake up til' eight o'clock. Breakfast starts at nine. Why are you waking me up so early?' She said.
'We want to discuss our plans. The whole team is waiting for you, Fran. Well, everyone except for Theodore. He's still sleeping,'
'Then wake him up first, please.'
'He won't wake up. Don't worry though, he's not dead.'
'Wake him up first,' Fran retaliated.
'You're already awake, Fran. Just go get changed. We need to discuss our plan,' Ms. Lily protested.
'Fine, give me a few minutes. In those few minutes, please try to wake Theodore while I watch my face, brush my teeth and just refresh from last night. It's like I forgot almost everything that happened yesterday,' Fran promised.
'M'kay. Don't take too long. I'll try to wake up Theodore, but I can't promise you he'll wake up. He's a deep sleeper. After you're done getting ready, go to Shayla's room. Thomas and Shayla will be there discussing. I'll most likely be in the twins' room trying to wake up Theodore,' Ms. Lily said.
  'Okay.'
Fran got ready quickly. She washed her face with the refreshing ocean-like glimmering water coming out from the tap in her bathroom. She brushed her teeth with the brushes provided by the instruments. She wore an edamame coloured sweater and loose jeans. Finally, she prepared a light snack for herself, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, made from complimentary food also provided by the instruments.

'I'm here,' She said, announcing her arrival.
'Oh, hey there, Fran,' Shayla greeted.
'Hi, Fran. How'd you manage to wake up so early?' Thomas asked, curiously.
'Two words. Aunt Lily,' She replied.
'I should've known. She woke me and Shayla up too. Ms. Lily always wakes up at like five o' clock in the morning.'
   'That early? To do what?'
'Her laundry and stuff like that. Also to have time to practise the harp.'
'Oh. Anyways, she said we would discuss our plan today. She also told me we've reached about five thousand signatures for our petition. It hasn't even been a day and it's already at half our goal!' She exclaimed.
'Congrats. I think you two are doing well. I already assembled an early rendezvous with the mayor incase you got enough signatures before the due date. He's still thinking about it, unfortunately,' Thomas said.
  'What's a rendezvous?' Fran asked.
'I thought you knew, my bad. A rendezvous is a meeting at a arranged time and place. I read dictionaries and novels a lot,' Thomas answered.
  'Wait, me too,' Shayla added.
'I'm happy we have to same interests,' Thomas said, smiling.
Fran was getting impatient and pacing up and down for a few minutes.
'What's on your mind, Fran?' Shayla questioned her.
'Why are Aunt Lily and Theodore taking so long?' She asked them.
'I don't know. Should we go check up on them? Theodore is a deep sleeper,' Shayla offered.
  'Okay. Let's go,' Fran replied.
The trio walked to the twins' room. Inside, they witnessed an exhausted Ms. Lily sitting down next to a massive pile of papers and panting heavily while sweating profusely, and an innocently sleeping Theodore.
'Woah, what's up with you?' Fran asked her aunt.
'I- uh, I- huh, I've been trying to pull this guy out of bed. He won't budge. Can you all help me?'
'Of course, you look worn out. Do you want to sit this out and just let us do it?' Thomas offered.
'I- huh, would like that very- uh, much. Thank- uh, you guys,' She said, while still breathing intensely.
On the count of three, the trio lifted Theodore with all their strength. Since they were indeed three people, they easily managed to set him on the ground and shake him uncontrollably until he woke up. Finally, he awoke when Thomas started singing his least favourite song, one of the exam pieces.
'Shut up, Thomas!' A dazed Theodore managed to shout.
  'Well that worked,' Thomas said.
'Why are you all in my room? And why are you trying to wake me up?' He asked them as he pushed Thomas away from him.
'We're going to discuss our plans today,' Ms. Lily answered.
'Why so early? Can't we just do it at breakfast?' He questioned.
'That's what I was thinking!' Fran exclaimed.
'We won't have much time during breakfast. We need to eat. Plus, we've also got other things to do after that, like attend our clubs. Aren't your hands still sore?' Ms. Lily told him.
'They're still a little sore. I won't be able to play piano today or use my utensils again. I'll need to eat finger food.'
'You can eat this,' Fran offered her peanut butter and jelly sandwich to him. He took it gratefully and ate it in small bites.
'Thanks, I was hungry. I couldn't eat yesterday's breakfast or dinner. I only managed to eat lunch because they served fries and burgers.'
'At least you're eating now incase they serve food which needs utensils to eat,' Shayla said.
  'Right.'
