"Bakugou? Why are you smiling? You never smile!"

Bakugou just sat there, the smile slipping off of his face, as he turned to see Kaminari, now frozen in fear, knowing he had messed up. Kaminari was just a bit too curious for his own good most of the time.

"What the hell? Is it that hard to believe that I can smile? Besides, you've barely known me for a day..." Bakugou questioned as he gritted his teeth, anger bubbling up inside of him. Blooming and growing like invisible vines, coiling around his body, constricting all logical thinking, until he was ready to explode, until-

Katsuki instinctively, and for some reason, looked over at the green haired boy sitting across the room, playing solitaire.

If he started yelling, he might trigger him, and the last thing Bakugou wanted was to look like the bad guy, and to make someone, especially Midoriya cry. That was not the way to befriend someone. Especially the boy with the emerald green orbs, and viridescent hair.

"Tch. Nevermind fuckwad." Katsuki grumbled incoherently, his face heating up ever so slightly at the thought of Izuku.

Kaminari, bewildered, just stood there, awed at the fact that the angry blond didn't lash out at him. Deciding to leave it alone, and think nothing of it, he shrugged it off, and returned to chatting with the cheerful redhead.

Katsuki sighed irritably as he glanced out the window. The day was as sunny as ever, and the baby blue sky was as blue as the aruba water in which he visited a few years ago.

Katsuki needed time. Time to think out what he was going to do while he was here. Time to think about how he was going to befriend Izuku. He just needed time, but where he was right now, he didn't have that time. He didn't have time to think. To understand...

------------------- Time Skip

The art was filled with the searing smell of fresh paint. Katsuki sighed silently to himself as he tried his best to sketch himself, making sure to carefully outline all of the lines with the ink pen that he held, given permission to use it by his therapist. It was his second day at The Ridge, and so far, he kept his anger in check. For Izuku.

Izuku had grown a weird sort of comfort around the blond after only having known him for a few hours. Between being close to the blond, or keeping his distance from him he was trying to get used to another person trying to be around him. His mind was confused at why he found the blond so interesting. Maybe it was because he knew that the blond was deliberately trying not to trigger him, seeing as one of Izuku's triggers is Loud noise. Katsuki had subtly picked up on that when Monoma and Kendo from dorm 3 were fighting with each other in the great room, when both dorms were combining for a bit yesterday afternoon.

Sighing to himself, Izuku turned back to the oil pastels, and the drawing he was creating. It was a picture of a magnificent lake, water reflecting the trees and sky, shimmering in the sun. Izuku was actually proud of this drawing, as he made it seem almost lifelike.

Adding a few extra details, he looked at the finished product, and sighed with utter content. Saying he was proud of himself was an understatement. He was overjoyed. Elated. And that didn't happen often for him. Knowing that it was probably the mood swings caused by his depression that was making him feel this way, he soaked in every last bit of happiness he could get, knowing it would go away in a moment's notice.

Looking over at katsuki, he noticed the very intricate drawing of himself he was doing. Every last crease of his hair was placed in the perfect spot. The only colored part of the picture was the eyes. They shined a crimson red against the muted blacks, grays and whites that adorned the rest of the drawing.

"What a narcissist..." Izuku thought to himself, albeit, he looked at the drawing with awe.

Looking up from his drawing, Katsuki stared at izuku, crimson eyes pooling into emerald ones.

Blushing from embarrassment that he got caught looking at Bakugou's drawing, he turned away quickly. Muttering an apology.

"I'm sorry for staring at your picture. I didn't mean to be rude, I just couldn't help but look at it. It's really good.

"I could say the same about you, ya nerd." Katsuki voiced, as he glanced at Izuku's drawing, looking how he mixed the blues together in the sky, making it pop out.

Smiling to himself, the blond continued to sketch the outlines of his drawing, finishing it with a flourish of his pen.

Once the time for the art room was up, Izuku started to pack up, grabbing his bag, and getting out his folder, stuffing his drawing in it, as Katsuki followed suit, placing his own drawing into his folder, placing it back into his bag.

Lining up with the other clients at the door, one of the more tired staff (or CA(Clinical assistant)), Aizawa, led the way out of the art room and up to the large great room, where dorm 1 would stay, and have rec, until dinner was ready.

Katsuki glanced to his side, to where Izuku was walking, his green curls bouncing up and down slightly as he made his way towards the great room. And Katsuki couldn't help but feel a warm feeling bubbling up inside of him, one that wasn't anger, but rather a calm and content feeling. One that made him feel at peace when he glanced at Izuku, and he couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, he was getting closer to befriending Izuku.

Stuck in his trance, he couldn't hear Mina whisper excitedly to her other friends, "How much do you wanna bet that they'll get together in the next week?"

Leaning in close, Sero whispered softly to mina, mumbling so nobody could hear him, he said, "I'll bet you a hit of the vape I have hidden under my bed."

Mina's eyes suddenly shown with excitement. "Bet!!" She whispered back.

What's good ppl of earth? Did you like this chapter?

Sorry for being so inconsistant, I've been really busy visiting my sister at her college, and working on school work, that I haven't really had time to post anything. Sorry about that! I'm working on it, I promise. I have to write a few more chapters, and then I'll start posting more! What do you think of the story so far? Are you enjoying reading it? Because I know that I enjoy writing it! It's better than just rotting away in my bed, so there's that. :3

Anyways that's all for now! Until next time!
