Orko's Love, Hope and Family

Chapter 3 Two Months old

Orko and Dree Elle loved their little daughter Hannah very much. She had been born two months ago and they loved her very much. "You are our little miracle yes you are," Orko said holding his tiny daughter. Then he smelled something. "Smells like you need a diaper change," he said. He carried Hannah to the changing table.

"Hey Orko what are you doing?" Yuka asked coming in.

"I am about to change Hannah's diaper," Orko said. "Would you like to help?" he asked.

"Me? I can help?" Yuka asked.

"Yes," Orko said. Then Orko lifted up the baby cloak and unstrapped the diaper and took it off.  "Hand me a wipe," he told Yuka. Yuka did so and Orko cleaned up Hannah's backside. "Now can you hand me the baby powder?" he asked.

"Sure." Yuka said handing it over. 

Then Orko sprinkled the baby powered on Hannah's backside. "Now hand me a clean diaper," Orko said.

Then Yuka handed Orko a clean diaper. "Here you go," Yuka said. 

Then Orko put the clean diaper on. "There we go all done," Orko said. Then he took Hannah and placed her in her cradle. Then Orko washed his hands once it was done. 

"Thanks for the help," Orko said.

"No problem," Yuka said. 

"Hello, how is my little Hannah?" Dree Elle asked coming in.

"I just changed her diaper," Orko said.

"I helped," Yuka said.

"You sure did," Orko said.

Hannah was in her cradle fast asleep. She looked so precious so at peace with the world. But normally that peace doesn't last for too long.

Hannah would still hardly sleep a hour or to two hours at a time. Hannah would still cry loudly at night. Woke a few people in the palace up at night. But they knew Hannah was a baby and babies cry. 

Hannah had to be nursed every two hours. Hannah had to be changed at least six times a day. She needed a lot of care to say the least. Hannah also needed to be burped, have spit up cleaned up, to be dressed, and to be bathed too. Hannah couldn't do anything for herself. Hannah was a very cute little baby too. 

Many in the palace loved to see her. Many people and Trollans in town made comments about her. "She is so cute," Squonge and his wife would say as they carried their own newborn daughter.

Orko's cousin Snoob recently got married and now they had a baby on the way. "She is so darling I hope that our little baby will get along well with their cousin," Ashina said.

Hannah was making all kinds of baby sounds. Hannah liked watching the clouds go by in the garden. Hannah also liked it when Man E Faces swapped his faces. 

"I wonder why she likes it when I change faces so much?" Man E Faces asked.

"Well Man E Faces babies like faces," Marlena said. "So I guess she finds your face changing ability to be entertaining," she said.

"Oh," Man E Faces said.

Hannah was growing into a fine little two month old baby. She was reaching all of her current milestones. She was showing to be very healthy. 

"Yes everything is looking good," Jarnia said. "Now it is time for the little one to have her two month shot," she said. Then she gave Hannah the shot while Ziki distracted her with a puppet. Hannah didn't make any fuss. 

"That is a very good little baby," Jarnia said placing a band aid on her arm.

Hannah was then picked up and kissed by Dree Elle. "That is my brave little miracle," Dree Elle said. "If she is this brave now maybe she might earn the warrior bolt as her mage emblem if this keeps up," she said.

"That would be a fine mark, but we might have other ideas of what mark she might get if she chooses to go on the quest like us," Orko said. "We also won't know what type of mage she will want to be until she is older," he said.

"That's true and I wonder if she will chose to be a mage like you, a song mage like me, an empath, or a healer?" Dree Elle said. 

"I know whatever she decides to be it us up to us to help it come true," Orko said kissing his tiny daughter.

Hannah was still growing and would soon have more adventures as a cute little baby.
