Magolor found that hanging out with his sisters wasn't as fun anymore, not after that. They talked less and less, and father got more and more strange. He began to forget their names, and rambled on about the erasure of history, and revenge.

It was beginning to get scary.

Then he found an old book. Upon reading it, he knew he had to do something.

"Dad, Franny, Flam, Zan! You have to see this!"

They all turned around in a fright as he slammed the book down on the table, opening up to the page he needed.

"This is the thing we've been worshiping!" he said, pointing down at the page, the paper depicting a massive feathered beast, covered in ancient runes, "The text here says that it's a destroyer of worlds, and brings nothing but agony! Also, that it was sealed away by powerful magic, and four heroes, one of which was imprisoned for his power! Do you really think this thing will save us!? Do you really want to free this thing?!"

Hyness's gaze grew cold, "You know nothing about this! That book was written by a bunch of traitors! They cast us aside and painted us in villainy, banished to the furthest reaches of the known stars!"

Magolor backed up in fear, shying away from the harshness of his father's tone, "But still, would it be worth it?"

"Worth it? Worth it?! Of course it would be worth it! Finally, to get back at those filthy backstabbers. How dare they, cast us aside, after everything we've done for them!?"

Magolor began to block out the rest of the words, and continued backing up. His sisters seemed somber, and he continued on, eventually taking off in a run. He heard someone chasing him.

"Wait!"

He ignored her, fleeing faster. Eventually, Zan caught up with him.

"Wait, hold on!"

Pushing her away, he screamed, "No! You're insane! All of you! Don't you see!? It's going to ruin you! That thing only knows how to kill! There's a reason why it was sealed away!!"

Her expression fell as she gazed at his small form, "Believe me, Hyness knows what he's doing-"

"NO HE DOESN'T! He hardly remembers who we are anymore! Are you seriously not seeing the problem here!?"

She shook her head, "Everything will turn out fine, I know it will."

With a final look behind him, he said "No, it's not."

Never had his words been more true.
