Two business associates were seated opposite one another in the office, files stacked neatly before them. The silence is punctuated by the occasional rustle of papers.
Mr. Sethratanapong cleared his throat. "It's good to see you again. It's been far too long."
Mr. Kwong smiles warmly. "The pleasure is all mine. Though I must say, I wish the circumstances were a bit more... festive."
Mr. Sethratanapong Nods curtly. "Indeed. We both have a lot at stake here." He said as he took a sip of his coffee. He then gestures to the files before them. "As you know, the merger of our companies is crucial for both of our families' legacies. It's a strategic move that guarantees our continued success for generations to come."
Mr. Kwong Nodded. "Absolutely. Our families have been partners for decades, and this union is a natural progression. It's a matter of ensuring the future of both Sethratanapong Industries and Kwong Enterprises."
Mr. Sethratanapong leans forward. "And of course, we must consider the personal aspect of this union. Orm and your daughter, Sirilak... they are both exceptional individuals, destined for greatness. Their marriage would solidify the partnership between our companies and ensure a harmonious future for both families."
Mr. Kwong fell silent, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I agree. It's a matter of... well, let's just say it's a matter of ensuring the continuity of our legacy. Your daughter and mine are the future of our families, and their union is a natural progression." He glances towards the rising star, Orm, sitting quietly beside her father. "I'm sure they'll understand the importance of this decision. They'll see the bigger picture, the legacy they're destined to carry."
Mr. Sethratanapong nods, a satisfied smile playing on his lips as he stands up abruptly, a sudden surge of energy radiating from him.
After the Kwong left, Kornnaphat rose from her seat as her father patted her back, and they both chuckled. "So now that Mr. Kwong has agreed, you can finally marry the girl you've been longing for." He said with a wink, causing his daughter to blush.
"Thanks dad. But... do you think his daughter will agree to marry me?" She asked anxiously.
"There's nothing she can do if her father agrees. You saw how much he approves of you. Besides, Lingling is an obedient child. She'll agree for sure." He reassured her but it didn't calm her down. "Just try to enjoy yourself today. Or maybe go to our bar to refresh yourself. When I say enjoy yourself, it means having a few drinks, not enjoying with girls, alright?"
She laughed a little before nodding. "Okay Dad, I'm going now. Just call me if you need anything."

In the other mansion, the Kwong couple were sitting in the living room, waiting for their daughter to arrive. After a while, she arrived and approached them, kissing them on their cheeks. "Good evening, Mom, Dad. Why are you still awake?"
Her father straightened his posture before gesturing for her to sit in front of them. She sat down with a look of confusion on her face. The couple exchanged glances, and the wife nodded to her husband. He then turned his gaze back to their daughter who was waiting for them to speak. "We have something to talk to you."
"What is it dad?" She asked, smiling.
"We've discussed it with my business partner, Mr. Sethratanapong, to arrange a marriage between you and his daughter, Kornnaphat."
Lingling couldn't believe what she was hearing. It was like she was going deaf, desperately wanting to hear it again to confirm if she had heard correctly. Her face was unreadable, and her father swallowed before adding, "We've agreed on this for a long time, but only now have we decided to go through with it. We need this for the business, and for your future, my dear."
