Months after their victory over Shadrax, whispers of new disturbances reached Lyara, Aedric, and Tharok. Dark forces had started to surface in the lands near the Eastern Plaguelands and Northrend, with undead creatures appearing where peace once reigned. Lyara was the first to feel the shift. Her connection with nature, now strengthened by her time with the druids, warned her of a disturbance in the balance—a foreboding energy as if Azeroth itself was trying to speak.

The heroes met in Dalaran, answering a call from none other than Khadgar. The Archmage spoke of the Scourge and strange, spectral forces stirring within Icecrown. “There’s an ancient prophecy,” he explained gravely, “that if a great darkness rises, the seal on the Shadowheart may weaken. It appears we’ve only delayed an inevitable clash.”

Lyara, Aedric, and Tharok listened with growing unease. Though they had banished Shadrax and sealed the Shadowheart, the forces in play were older and darker than they had ever anticipated. If Azeroth’s destiny was once again under threat, they knew they had to act.

Khadgar gave each hero a unique task to prepare for the coming darkness. Lyara was tasked with seeking out the Emerald Dream’s most powerful druids to guard the seal. Aedric would return to Stormwind to rally the knights, teaching them how to fight the creatures of shadow they might face. Tharok, meanwhile, was to travel to Orgrimmar and consult with the shamans to draw on the elements for aid.

As they left Dalaran, each hero felt the weight of an impending battle. The calm they had enjoyed since Shadrax’s defeat had been the calm before the storm.
