The two of them sat on the couch as they ate, Vivian sitting criss-cross style, and Siobhan lounging beside her, her legs draped comfortably over Vivian's.
They talked and laughed about anything and everything. If the two of them were any more open with each other, they would both realize their souls had mingled in an even more intimate way than either of them wanted to admit.
Vivian had selflessly tidied up after dinner, despite there being hardly any dishes to wash. Siobhan had never felt so doted on. A gentle smile curled on her lips as she tried to embrace the warmth of this unfamiliar feeling. But before she knew it, that warmth morphed into something altogether different. She bit her lip, her mind racing with possibilities as Vivian busied herself in the kitchen. When Siobhan finally settled on a plan, she quietly ascended the grand staircase by the front door, carefully tiptoeing past the kitchen.
Siobhan located two bedrooms directly above the stairs. They were extremely similar, both just as grand as the other but very different from the downstairs. They were satin shades of black, dark brown bookshelves built into the wall across from the bed. The beds were covered in plush velvet comforters in the deepest shade of red. The bed frames were simple square black wood, with the shortest square posts on the corners. There was a large mirror on the wall beside the bed, and large windows on the other side, a view of the beach in either room.
Seeing as the two rooms were practically identical outside of a few small details, Siobhan had a hard time sorting out which one Mia usually occupied.
She quickly sifted through one room, her curiosity leading her to the spacious closet attached. Its emptiness confirmed it—this was undoubtedly the guest room.
When she opened another door within the generous guest room, she stumbled upon an exquisite bathroom that felt straight out of a luxury hotel—except for one detail that surprised her; instead of a sleek glass shower, there was a wall boasting just a small opening. As Siobhan stepped inside, she was met with dark stone enveloping the shower, a vibe that felt both mysterious and inviting. She stepped out once more, her heart racing in anticipation, quickly undressing before stepping back in to turn on the water.
Vivian emerged from the kitchen just as Siobhan reached the top of the stairs. She wandered into the living room, her eyes searching for the familiar blonde. "Bon-Bon?" she called into the echoing silence, a furrow of concern knitting her brow. After checking a few rooms, the sound of running water drew her attention upstairs, and she couldn't help but bite her lip, hoping that Siobhan was indeed indulging in what the nurse imagined, as she followed the sound of the water above.
As the brunette entered the guest room, she noticed the bathroom door ajar, with steam spilling into the air like a soft embrace. 'Who's been spying on my dreams?' she mused to herself, intrigue bubbling within her.
Stepping into the bathroom, Vivian's heart raced as she saw Siobhan's dress delicately piled on the floor. Quickly, she unbuttoned her own top, her breath hitching slightly, and discarded her smalls before stepping into the warm, inviting shower to join the blonde.
The first sight that captured Vivian's gaze was Siobhan's head tilted back beneath the cascading water, hands weaving through her damp hair. It quickly led her eyes to appreciate the rest of the blonde's naked physique.
"Are you just going to stand there, or are you going to come join me?" Siobhan's deep voice cut through the nurse's thoughts. She didn't need to look to know Vivian had quietly walked into the shower with her. Turning her head slightly, Siobhan caught a glimpse of the brunette, a teasing smirk blooming subtly on her lips, inviting connection.
