The morning sunlight filtered softly through the bedroom window as I balanced a breakfast tray, making my way quietly down the hall and into the bedroom. I'd left Wooyoung asleep for a little longer, wanting to surprise him with breakfast in bed. I knew he'd been pushing himself, especially after that fall, and today was a rare morning I could spend fully with him before heading into work.
I figured the doctor's coat might make him smile. Underneath, I'd left my shirt behind, just for fun—he always joked about wanting a "sexy doctor boyfriend," so I thought I'd play the part.
When I walked in, the look on Wooyoung's face was priceless. He was just waking up, his eyes still a little sleepy, but the moment he saw me standing there, his mouth fell open, slightly parted as he took in the sight of me in the white coat, bare-chested underneath. His gaze traveled slowly down, then back up to meet my eyes, his cheeks tinged pink, and I had to bite back a smirk.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," I said, keeping my tone casual as I set the tray down on the bedside table. "Figured you could use some breakfast before we both start our day."
He blinked, finally seeming to find his voice. "Uh... good morning." His voice was barely a whisper, as if he were still processing what he was seeing. His gaze flicked to the tray of food, then back to me, his mouth curving into a stunned smile. "Are you... dressed like that on purpose?"
I chuckled, feigning innocence as I adjusted the collar of my coat, letting it fall open a little more. "What? You don't think this is a normal look for a doctor?"
His eyes narrowed slightly, though the amusement in them was unmistakable. "I think I'd remember if it was... Just—" He broke off, his eyes flicking over me once again, clearly caught between speechlessness and laughter.
I picked up a piece of toast from the tray and offered it to him. "Well, Doctor's orders—eat up. We have a big day of lounging ahead of us, and I'm prescribing you nothing but rest and relaxation."
"Is that so?" he asked, taking the toast from my hand, his fingers brushing mine. "You look more like trouble than a doctor right now."
"Trouble?" I repeated, pretending to be offended, but then grinned, leaning a little closer as I perched on the edge of the bed. "If you only knew how much trouble I can be."
He laughed, shaking his head, clearly trying to keep his composure but failing miserably. "You're actually serious about this, aren't you? You're committing to this whole 'sexy doctor' look."
"Oh, I'm fully committed," I murmured, reaching over to brush a stray strand of hair from his forehead. "Anything for my favorite patient."
Wooyoung's eyes softened, and he leaned slightly into my hand. "I have to say, if this is what Doctor's orders look like, I might just have to get injured more often."
