Chapter 15
They rushed into the art museum, which was pitch black. Kunikida took out his notebook and scribbled down "flashlight." He grabbed it and turned it on; everything seemed normal at first glance.Opening the notebook again, he reread the riddle. It had to do with something around here, but what? It could be some kind of code, but that didn't make sense since there was no key.
Kunikida looked around slowly at all the pictures. The hall seemed to expand far beyond what the eye could see. "Kunikida, I think I know what it is," Yn said. He glanced down, surprised. "Really?"
She pointed to the gallery labels. "'Watson and the Shark'? What does that have to do with anything?" he asked.
"Didn't you notice? If you take the first word from each line of the riddle, it spells 'The Starry Night.'" Yn was right; Kunikida realized he had been letting a lot slip past him lately. "Good idea. We need to look for it."
After many attempts to find the painting, they came to an empty frame. The tag read, "The Starry Night - Vincent van Gogh." Kunikida stepped closer to the frame. Beneath it was a box labeled, "Take the frame down and have fun!"
He sighed and pulled the frame off the wall, placing it on the ground. When he opened the box, he found puzzle pieces inside. He pulled one out and showed it to Yn. "Looks like we're going to be building a puzzle," he said.
She smiled and replied, "Okay."Once they finished the picture, something fell from the ceiling—it was another envelope. This time, it was labeled "Clue Two." He picked it up and said, "Great, we're another step closer to finding out who's behind this."
When he opened it, the envelope contained a note that read, "So close, there is one thing left to do." Kunikida crumpled the paper and exclaimed, "What!? But we've already done everything!"
Yn looked down at the painting and suggested, "Why don't you make a replica of the painting with your book and we can check if it's right?"
He quickly did so. "Good thinking." They both examined the painting; everything seemed correct, which triggered an idea. He picked up the painting and hung it back on the wall. Another envelope fell to the ground. He grabbed it and opened it. This time, the note read:"Good job, you fixed your mistake. Now we can continue. This might be a bit hard for you, but good luck!
In the heart
where shadows dance,
And stories weave in every glance.
Where colors fade to black and white,
Seek the place where dreams take flight."
This one wasn't even hard; it was the theater. He said, "Let's go.________________________________
