Stryker's POV
"Why didn't you just shoot him there? We could've had the Wolverine with us now!" My top Soldier questioned as I sat down in my wheelchair, facing a small TV. "Because he's too strong. I need to get him when he's at his lowest point." I said honestly. I wish I could've gotten the Wolverine today, but it'd be stupid to try and capture him now. We need to inject him or hurt him to the point he either can't fight back or he surrenders, but that's very unlikely for a Wolverine. They're trained to fight until death enters the life of their prey. I know Logan will abide by the same rules and I can't lose more men, so we need to wait until he's good as dead."You need to wait until I say. I know how these animals work. You can't just ask or fight em, they will kill or put up their best fight before they decide to lie down and just die... You just won't win... Believe when I say it." My men just stare at me in disbelief.
"Sir, we're trained soldiers. We know how to handle a threat. " I turn my chair around slowly as my men back up, giving me some space to speak."So is he, he's fought many wars in the past along side his brother. That brother of his is now dead, but don't underestimate his training and skill. The Wolverine is the last of his kind and he will fight".....
Logan's POV
I wake up to the smell of some kind of food. Slowly sitting up, I see that the window was slightly open, that's where the smell was coming from. I have a pretty strong sense of smell and any food can catch my attention.
Quickly, I jump out of bed with a loud thump once my feet hit the ground, startling Diana. "Logan, are you alright? " she asked sitting up quickly, covering her body with the fur blanket as I walked over to the window to get a better smell. "I'm just fine, dear, but I'm starving. You wanna go eat?" She laughs before letting herself fall back down onto the bed. "You're as hungry as a horse!" I take in another sniff before looking out the window to see some people lining up at the bar down the street. Something must be going on down there."Diana dear, let's head down to the bar from last night. There's some kind of gathering down there." I said recollecting my clothes from off the floor last night. "Do you suppose it's a commotion? " I hum in response while pulling my pants up my legs.
"Yeah, but it doesn't seem to be a threat. You can never go wrong just by checking. " I replied as she sits up on her elbows. "Curiosity killed the cat " I smirk at her as she rolls her, but starts to climb out of bed.
"Are you really curious about the commotion or feeding your body? " I laughed as I throw my shirt on over my head. "Little bit of both... ok yes, the food got my attention" she let's out a proud "aaaa" before standing up and grabbing her cloak, putting it on over her body. "Come on, you gotta be starving too, Diana?" I questioned as I walk up behind her and hug her. "I am, yes. " I kiss her cheek and chuckle. "See, even a lady as beautiful as you needs her brunch." she laughs as I kiss her once more. "See!" I smiled then head over to get my shoes. "You never know what people have to offer."Diana and I headed down to see what the commotion was about and saw that everyone had plates and were passing down food to each other.
"What's going on here?" I mumbled as an elderly woman slowly approaches Diana and me. "Hello Mister and hello my dear! Welcome to our Thanksgiving feast. " I furrow my brows. "Thanksgiving? " she nods happily before grabbing my hand.
"Yes! Come on in to eat. We have plenty!" I smiled at her as she pulls me, Diana following close beside me, still holding my hand as we follow this kind lady inside the bar.
