In a large city filled with millions of people working tirelessly day and night with thieves on the streets and sick people in the shadows just waiting for the right moment to strike "The world is dying Henderson," a woman says as she looks out across the city from the tallest building there "what was that Ms. Yana?" Henderson says confused as to why he was summoned to her office. In the eyes of everyone in the building it's said that being summoned to her office was either one trip to pack your bags or a major promotion and the second one rarely happens "The world is dying Henderson" she says as she steps away from the window and sits down on her office couch she pours herself a glass of wine and settles down in her seat taking a sigh of relief as she takes a sip "I don't know what you mean by that Ma'am" he says with sweat dripping down his forehead "go to the window Henderson" He takes his first steps to the window and looks down on the city "we're pretty high up don't you think Ms. Yana?"That's not the point I'm trying to make Henderson," she says as she gets up from her seat and approaches Henderson slowly heels clicking the floor as she makes her way "Look out there and see the deeper meaning of this city what does it need Henderson?" Her heels still clicking as she walks Henderson looks out amongst the building the smoke and cars yelling passersby, "a reality check?" He says with a shaking in his voice."What exactly did you call me here for Mrs. Yana?" The clicking of her heels finally stops right behind his. He's sweating more now than before. He slowly turns around to see her looking back at him. He doesn't know if the look is anger, frustration, or envy, but he knows deep down that it's not good. "What did you go to school for Henderson?" Hit with confusion, he tilts his head to the side, and she mimics, knowing he didn't expect that question. "for medical science ma'am. "And what does that entail?" "I study the human and animal anatomy and find ways to find cures to our biggest problems, ma'am." With eye contact still held, she doesn't say a word; instead, she turns around and goes to her desk. She opens a drawer and moves some things around. "what are you doing?" She doesn't reply as she presses a button, making the wall behind her open, revealing a lab two times bigger than the one he works in his mouth drops in aw as the lights to the lab flicker on tables filled with test tubes DNA samples and files he walks in as she stays at her desk watching as he is amazed by the sight "what is all of this?" He brushes his fingertips along the table cold and metal he reaches for a DNA sample... "don't touch anything" he snatches his hand back and turns around quickly facing her as she walks past him "I'm sorry ma'am It won't happen again" he says "come here" she says as she walks to a table covered in a white sheet Henderson fast walks over to her as she stand on the opposite side of the table from him she looks at him with a pause almost like a hesitation and scowls a look at him as if trying to study him "what's your name Henderson?" She says, "Terrence ma'am, " he says. "How old are you?" "I'm 22, ma'am," she contemplates as she taps her nails on the metal, looking down at the sheet as she places a hand on what sounds like metal. She snatches off the sheet, revealing an embryo curled up in a ball no smaller than a quarter. "What is it?" Terrence says as he reaches to touch it "I said don't touch anything" " Yes ma'am sorry ma'am it won't happen again" "It better not Henderson you'll be able to touch it but not now" Terrence looks at her as she stares down and admires her creation he never noticed her before no one has she's so much smaller than he is her face is so gentle almost porcelain gloss her eyes are sharp and green but hazel it's like they switch colors in different light her long blond hair put in a bun he looks down at her hands and notices she's not married who in their right mind wouldn't put a ring on this woman's finger he thinks to himself "I need you Henderson" she says making him jolt up and makes extreme eye contact with her "in what way do you mean ma'am" he says as he sweats at the sight of her so fierce so bold and beautiful "in a way that you can never tell anyone" "right here? Don't you think that's unprofessional?" She looks in shock at his response as she realizes what he means. "Henderson, no, you're cute, but I'm not the type you want to mess around with now. I need you to do a little homework for me." "What type of homework, ma'am?"The kind that will be dangerous, I need you to get me a sample of something that will complete my project you see here." "And where would I go to get this sample?" "You'll be getting a second job at the SCP containment foundation" "that's like the most high secured facilitie in the world I can't just take a blood sample from what creature you want and walk out like nothing" Terrence says with weight in his voice she stares him down without a single word said he noticed her look and clears his throat breaking eye contact and looking at the floor "I'm sorry ma'am but that's a death sentence if I do that" he says with respect "I'm not asking you I'm telling you I've already have your job lined up I just need you to get it here's the file on what you will be getting" she says as she reaches behind her and tosses a file down in front of him "I respect you for raising your voice at me but don't get to cocky I expect it done in 3 days you get in you get out and give me my sample you got that?" She says as she walks around the table to stare him in the face "yes ma'am I'm sorry ma'am it won't happen again" "good, now leave my office at once" Terrence hurries and grabs the files as he walks away to the door of Ms. Yana's office, with the door closed behind him he takes a second to breathe as he clenches the file to his chest. "How'd it go?" A voice says from afar it's Rachel, one of the medical scientists in your lab. "I'm not allowed to say, but I didn't get fired," he says, looking down at the file. "What is that?" Rachel exclaims "I can't tell you that if I do I will be fired but it's my next job assignment I have to finish it in 3 days wish me luck," he says walking past her and to the elevator as the elevator door closes behind him he takes the file in his hands and starts to open it and read

"Item number: SCP-682

Object Class: Kester

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-682 must be destroyed as soon as possible. At this time, no means available to SCP teams are capable of destroying SCP-682, only able to cause massive physical damage. SCP-682 should be contained within a 5 m x 5 m x 5 m chamber with a 25 cm reinforced acid-resistant steel plate lining all inside surfaces. The containment chamber should be filled with hydrochloric acid until SCP-682 is submerged and incapacitated. Any attempts of SCP-682 to move, speak, or breach containment should be reacted to quickly and with full force as called for by the circumstances."

Terrence closes the documents, clinging them once again to his chest. "What am I gonna do?" He thinks to himself this is the most dangerous SCP in the facility, but he knows if he doesn't get it done, it won't be SCP-682 he has to worry about.
