Chapter 8: Adam's missing part 2 and Telling Lindsay.

The next morning at the 21st police district.

With Zilpah Halstead in Portland, Maine.

Zilpah was stroking Adam's cheek in a loving manner and smiled fondly at him.

She was dressed in a long sleeved shirt that was pink with a purple knee-length skirt, a red Hoddie, white socks, and purple tennis shoes, and her hair was up in a ponytail.

Adam began to wake up, and he noticed that he wasn't in Chicago anymore . He was scared of where he was, and he's alone now with his best friends sister. That's not good.

Adam weakly said," Where the hell am I?

Zilpah said," You're in Portland, Maine, now.

Adam asked," Why the hell am I here?

Zilpah lied," Because I found you on the floor, having a really bad panic attack. So I decided to bring you here to help you, Addy.

Addy was a nickname that the Dawson kids, His siblings, Choi Kids, Halstead kids, Atwater kids, and Olinsky kids called, and they were his best friends since childhood.

Adam said," I believe you, Zilpah Halstead.

Zilpah helps Adam into the car, and they head to Zilpah's new mansion that she bought with her husband, Harvey Leavine.

Her husband was rich. He owned a clothing store that is combined with a hair salon.

Adam said," This is a beautiful mansion, Zil.

Zilpah said," Thank you for saying that.

Adam said," You're welcome, Zilpah.

She parked her car into the driveway, and Adam got out of the car and headed inside.

Her husband was waiting for her in the living room, and Zilpah led Adam there.

Zilpah said," I brought my brother's friend to stay with you and I if that's ok with you.

Harvey said," That's perfectly ok with me.

Zilpah led Adam to the guest bedroom.

Zilpah said," Bathroom is through that door  to your left. Towels are on the right door.

Adam said," Thanks, Zilpah. For everything.

Zilpah said," You're welcome, Adam Ruzek.

Zilpah left, and then Adam took a shower, dressed in PJ’S, brushed his teeth, and headed to bed for the night.

With the Intelligence unit in Chicago, Illinois.

Everyone noticed Adam was gone and started worrying about where he was.

Jay said," Hank. Something's wrong, Adam is never late to work. I'm worried about him.

Hank said," You have a funny way of showing, considering the bull you put him through. Your girlfriend lied to his face about being single, and now Adam is facing depression because of her stunt, Halstead.

Jay said," Are you going to tell her, Voight?

Hank said," Hell, no. You're going to tell her.

Jay said," Yes, Sergeant. I will fly to Manhattan, New York, tonight and tell her.

Hank said," I don't care how you get there as long as you tell Lindsay Hansley the truth.

Jay said," I understand, Sergeant.

Jay headed home to pack a bag and get into his truck to drive to Manhattan, New York.

He arrived there the next morning and found her house easily and parked his car.

He took several deep breaths, got out of the car, and gently knocked on her front door.

Lindsay answered the door and said," How can I help you out, officer? Am I in trouble?

Jay said," No. You're not in trouble. It's Jay.

Lindsay hugged Jay, and he hugged her back.

Lindsay said," What's wrong, Jay? Why are you so upset?

Jay said," It's Adam. He went missing last night.

Lindsay said," Oh no. This can't be happening. I still love him, Jay. Find him.

Jay hugs her again and holds her for a bit.

Jay said," We will find him, Lindsay. I promise you that we will find Adam.

Lindsay said,"  You're better find him soon.

Jay heads back to Chicago, Illinois, after staying and comforting Lindsay all day.
