Koto had trained under Tanaka for almost a year and a half at this point. He was almost 17, and even though Tanaka his master, had taught or tried to teach him sound breathing he, for some reason couldn't seem to get it.
But he practiced none stop, only to later find out that in final slection he had made his own breathing style. It flowed easily in the wind but brought a painful sting along with it as it hit his opponent.
That is how Sand breathing was made. His master was slightly disappointed at hearing that when he had gotten back, but happy he could find and use a breathing style that fit him.
Koto was on his way to his first mission, his stoic look on his face never changing as he made his way into town looking around for a nice place to sit down and eat as he waited for the sun to fall.
He soon found one and moved toward it, happy he could have some ohagi after not having it in what felt like years. It was one of his favorites. He walked into the store hiding his sword under his harori, as he bout the ohagi. He walked out as he took a bite, for once a small smile crept onto his face.
He ate the rest, savoring the flavor as he licked his lips. He looked up seeing his crow flying over head, which slowly flew down and landed on his shoulder as he walked. "Were"
Koto said bluntly as the crow point his beak in the direction of where the demon was last spotted. Koto nodded as he made his way there, it would be dark by the time he got there since the sun was pretty much behind the mountains.
He shifted his sword back out from under his harori and back onto his belt as the amount of people in the streets died down. Granted there were still a few but, it was dark enough now that he would be ok.
He hummed a soft tun as he walked, something his mother had song to him and his sister when he was younger. But he stoped when he sense someone was near. Not demon though.
"Hey goldfish that demon is mine" A snappy voice said to him as he looked around for where the voice comes from. Only for a man covered in scars with white hair and lavender eyes to walk out of an alway.
"Who are you calling a good fish?" Koto snapped out as he glared out at the scared man being a few inches taller than him.
"That. Demons. Mine." He said again as he shoved Koto out of the way and started to walk the way Koto had been walking. "And take that bow outa your hair, you like fucking stupid"
Koto paused for a second as that white haired man's words went through his mind. Before he charged at him and grabbed his shoulder, throwing him back.
"Dare to fucking repeat that?" Koto growled out as the white haired man had a look of shock cross his face.
Sanemi looked up at the man standing over him, his yellow amber eyes seeming to look over his whole body. "Who the fuck do you think you are to touch me!" Sanemi shouted out as he shoved Koto back.
"I'm the one who's going to become a hasira before you, you fucker" Sanemi said with a hard glare before turning and running in the direction he had been going before.
Koto sighed before he ran off to, following the annoying guy. Some how he got there before he did, and the demon was making its leave out of a near by house. So with out hesitation Koto ran over.
"Sand breathing, Forth form, Tinted sting" Koto jumped into the air drawing his katana as he went down and delivered the blow that sliced the demon right in half.
He landed on the ground quietly as he put hit katana back into its sheath. "Tch too easy" he mumbled as he watched the demon disappear in a ball of ash and rage.
"Hey goldfish, how the fuck did you get here first, and were the demon?" Koto glanced over his shoulder at the man with a roll of his eyes. "You were to slow, I already killed it. And my na-"
Sanemi rolled his eyes as he glared at Koto, his amber eyes never leavening his. "I don't give a shit what your name is, all I care about is saving people and becoming hasira"
Koto shrugged as he checked the bow was still in place in his shirt, then turned and started the walk back to his masters estate. Hoping to at least say hello before his next mission.
In the other hand, Sanemi was fuming, annoyed at the fact this guy came out of nowhere killed the demon HE was sent to kill then walk off like nothing happened.
Who really was this guy....?
