The Post

It has been two days since the apocalypse has started. I have never been more terrified. I boarded up the only window in my room which happens to be small, thankfully.

I honestly don't know how i still have service on my phone but i'm thankful because i've been distracting myself with TikTok.

Obviously I don't listen or watch anything without my airpods just in case those brain eaters hear it.

Every time i'm hungry or have to use the bathroom I do so very quietly.

This is gross but I don't flush when it's just pee.

So far today Ive only had oatmeal. I call my family at least 800 times a day. So far no one has answered.

Ive also been looking out for anyone's posts. I've been texting people I usually don't text. I haven't gotten a single answer from anyone.

Im currently laying in bed watching Tiktok when suddenly I get a notification that Billie Eilish has posted on her instagram story.

I head to instagram and click on her post.

"Is anyone out there?" it just says that with a black screen.

Immediately I slide up, hoping it'll go through.

"Im out here" Is all I can work up

Billie Eilish immediately responds

Billie: Oh thank god, this post has been trying to post for hours. You are the only person who has viewed it.

Amanda: I've never been more scared in my life. Im only 17 and my birthday is a week away. My entire family is on vacation and I haven't heard from them at all. I don't know what to do

Billie: why is your family in vacation without you? im very sorry. Youre so young to have to be all alone. When I was your age, I barely knew how to work a stove 💀

Amanda: LMFAO it's okay. My family is on Vacation without me because I had my finals coming up and I really didn't want to miss them because i'm an all A student. I guess now none of that matters

Billie: Im so sorry Amanda. We can always keep chatting. I haven't talked to anyone. I can't get ahold of my family neither.

Amanda: Im sorry to hear that. Where are you at?

Billie: Im at my safe house.

Amanda: at least you have one of those lol

Billie: I guess so. My team urged me to get one a few months ago, it's like they knew something was going to happen. Im glad I got it though.

Amanda: Im glad you got it too. Has anyone else replied or even seen your story?

Billie: nope

Amanda: im trying so hard not to fangirl right now because it's not the time lmao

Billie: youre all good Amanda, pretty name by the way
