'Are you okay?'
Dad has to whisper the question, as Tyson is asleep on the plane next to us. We haven't gotten off the ground yet, but it's really early in the morning. I'm unable to sleep, still stressing about how to tell Tyson what's about to happen soon.
'I'll be okay,' I tell Dad as I get comfortable under the blankets we're all under in our seats. Dad only nods and leans in to kiss my cheek with a warm smile. He's always done that to me since I was little, and it never bothers me. He's at least smart enough to wait until everyone else is preoccupied with their own stuff before doing it, just for the sake of having people looking at us strange.
After an eternity, the plane does eventually lift off the ground and into the air. I keep my focus on the sky, admiring the orange-purple color. Orange is my favorite color. Hopefully before I die I can find an orange outfit to be buried in. If I'm lucky, I can find an orange casket to match.

We check into our hotel rooms, Dad offering to share his room with Tyson to allow me my own hotel room. I only nod in response, having no energy to go back and forth. Tyson's going to be upset when he finds out about the sleeping arrangements, so I decide to let him room with me the next night.
I enter my hotel room and lazily drop my suitcase at the foot of the huge bed. I kick my shoes off and climb into bed, offering a smile at the touch of the warm blankets I get comfortable under. I fall asleep in no time, slipping into a dream.
The dream is apparently my funeral, since I'm not in it. Dad and a crying Tyson are staring down at my orange casket.
'Why didn't you say something?' Tyson wails as he presses his hands against the casket lid, 'why didn't you tell me?'
I wake up to someone knocking on the door to my hotel room. I wipe beads of sweat from my forehead and get out of bed, slumping to the door. Thankfully it's just Dad letting me know that he's ordered a pizza for the three of us to share.
