Liam gave me the basic information of camp Half-Blood as we were climbing the giant hill which led to a weird building right in the middle of, what looks like, a military camp a guy who's bottom half was a horse came out and said, "hello young one, I assume Liam has told you what you are and where you are?" He asked. "Yes but what about my parents? I mean I do have two of them?" I questioned. "Well, I believe that you might be adopted which would explain the difference in appearances in you and your parents that Liam informed me about, now you must have many more questions, those will be answered by Ms. Annabeth Chase right outside there," he pointed to a very pretty blond girl, with bloodshot gray eyes so you could tell she'd been crying. "Chiron he's still not back yet, what if he's hurt or-or worse!" She blubbered. "Now-now Annabeth, I'm sure Percy is fine," the horse-man called Chiron answered with a hint of despair in his voice.
Annabeth looked at me then motioned for me to follow her, to which I did. "So, um, who's Percy?" I asked. She chuckled shakily and responded with, "my best friend, he went missing about two weeks ago. You know, you kind of look like him." I thought for a second then replied, "maybe we're siblings, Liam did say that our parents often had multiple kids!" She chuckled and said, "nah, he's a son of Poseidon, during world war 2 the big three, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades make a pact not to have any more children, but both Zeus and Poseidon broke the oath and Hades saved his son Nico who is from the 1930s," she explained.
I sighed sadly as we continued the tour when we heard a loud bell. "Come on, the canoe races are about to start," she said taking my hand and dragging me to the lake. "Now, nobody's beaten the record in years, the champion is Percy cause he's a son of Poseidon," she informs me.
She helps me into my own canoe and another camper who looks about my age climbs in with me. She has pretty brown hair and amazing brown eyes, the kind that shimmer when the sun hits them just right. "Hi, I'm Emma. I'm a daughter of Hermes and I got here a couple weeks ago," she informs me. "I'm Sophia and I just got here today," I respond. She begins to say something but the bell goes off signaling to begin the race. I begin to paddle with all my might but that isn't a lot considering that I'm 9 and there are kids here that have been training for years. We begin to fall behind when my hand accidentally hits the water and something strange happens, we start propelling forward.
I look back at Emma but she looks as confused as I am. Soon enough we hit the other edge of the lake and a random camper waved a finish flag and clicked a stop watch that he was holding. "Congrats girls, that was so fast you could almost beat Per-," he looked down at his watch and the color in his face drained. "What? Why'd you stop mid-sentence?" I asked. "But, but that's impossible," he said.
Then Annabeth and Chiron ran up and started whispering to the random dude. "Sophia how did you do that?" Annabeth asked very quietly. "What do you mean, I didn't do anything, my hand just hit the water and we went flying," I said. "Sophia, you just beat Percy's record," Chiron whispered solemnly.
Suddenly there was a bright flash a when I look up I see a trident floating above my head. "All hail Sophia Johnson, daughter of Poseidon, earth shaker, storm bringer, ruler of the sea," Chiron booms.
(Sorry it's a lot shorter than the last one and again I won't be posting regularly, but I will post as soon as possible.)
