He accepted the quest, and as he did, a faint glow appeared in the distance, like a beacon. Riku clenched his fists, ready to see this through.

As he trekked forward, the shadows around him seemed to shift, forming strange shapes that clawed at his nerves. His grip on his dagger tightened. He had only just started this second life, and he had no intention of losing it now. With each step, the light grew brighter, and a faint hum filled the air, soothing yet intense, as though promising him safety on the other side.
Finally, he reached an open clearing. In the center stood a massive, swirling portal, crackling with energy. It was a vortex of colors—blues, greens, and purples—radiating warmth and life. He took a step forward, excitement bubbling in his chest.
But, of course, nothing was ever that easy.
A dark figure materialized before him, blocking his path. Tall and ominous, it wore tattered black robes, and where a face should have been, there was only a hollow void.
