(please take your time imagining/reading it....It looked so beautiful in my head 😭..)
Charles leaned back against his chair, a frown creasing his forehead as he glanced at his phone. "I don't even understand what an F1 ball-themed party has to do with anything," he muttered, scrolling through the invitation details. He and Mark were in the hotel lounge, discussing the event scheduled for tomorrow.
Mark grinned, leaning in with a teasing smirk. "It's all about appearances, Charles. Everyone likes to see us out of our race suits and into something... elegant."
Charles shook his head. "Yeah, but there's a slight problem. I don't know how to ball dance, and I'm pretty sure that's going to be a huge issue."
Mark's eyes lit up with mischief. "Wait, what? You don't know how to ball dance? Don't worry. I'll teach you. You've still got time."
Charles raised an eyebrow. "Tomorrow is the party, and unless you plan on some sort of miracle in the morning, I don't see how this is going to happen."
Mark's grin widened, his excitement growing. "What about now?"
"Now? It's late, and we're here at the hotel. Besides, there's not exactly much open space to practice in."
Mark waved off his concerns. "What about the ballroom downstairs?"
Charles' eyes widened. "The ballroom? It's night, Mark, I'm pretty sure it's locked. Also, I'm not about to break in."
Mark leaned forward, eyes gleaming with a playful energy. "Who will know about the break in?"
Charles stared at him for a moment, a mix of disbelief and amusement in his expression. After a brief back-and-forth, Mark led Charles downstairs, stopping at the grand ballroom doors. To Charles' surprise, Mark casually pulled out a key, sliding it into the lock.
"Wait... you have the key?!" Charles exclaimed, utterly confused.
Mark chuckled. "What, you thought I was serious about breaking in? My dad owns this place."
With a click, the doors swung open, revealing the grand ballroom. It was dark, the main lights turned off, but the room wasn't in complete darkness. Moonlight spilled in through the massive windows, casting a silvery glow across the polished floor and highlighting the elegant features of the room. The chandeliers above hung like ghostly sculptures in the faint light.
Charles took a step in, his breath catching for a moment as he absorbed the ethereal beauty of the room. The moonlight made everything feel otherworldly, like they were stepping into a secret, enchanted world meant only for them.
Mark gestured for Charles to follow him to the center of the room. The dim light created an intimate atmosphere, and for a moment, it was as if the rest of the world ceased to exist. Mark pulled out his phone and played "Love Story" by Indila, the soft melody floating through the silence like a gentle whisper.
