~Dhruvansh Pov.~It had only been two hours since we arrived in Udaipur, but it felt like we had been here longer. The long train ride had taken its toll, leaving us all exhausted. Now, we were resting in our rooms at the Taj Lake Palace, trying to recharge for the days ahead. The grandeur of the palace was undeniable, its beauty almost otherworldly, but at that moment, all I wanted was some sleep.
We had booked half of the Taj Lake Palace for the wedding, reserving the other half for guests to stay in when they arrived. For now, it was just the four of us—Vihu, Amy, Dii, and me—each enjoying the luxury of our own rooms. But once the guests started arriving, we’d have to share. I could already feel the exhaustion creeping in at the thought of how chaotic things would become once the wedding preparations went into full swing. If this was how tiring it felt before anything had even started, I dreaded to think what the actual event would be like.
As I lay there, letting the cool breeze from the lake drift through the window, a knock on the door stirred me from my thoughts. "Dhruv, open the door!" Vihu's voice called out, muffled but clear.
With a sigh, I dragged myself out of bed and shuffled to the door. When I opened it, there stood Vihu in his casual shorts and t-shirt, looking far too energetic for someone who had just endured a long journey.
"Bhai, tu abhi tak fresh nahi hua?" he asked, his eyebrows raised as he took in my still-disheveled appearance.
I leaned against the doorframe, rubbing my eyes and muttering, "What do you expect me to do? We’ve only been here for two hours."
"Ha, that's what I'm saying. Hume aye hue 2 gante ho gaye aur tu, one and only Dhruvansh jo sab kaam from time to time karta hai vo fresh nhi hua. Abhi ye kuch naya tha. Vese asa toh ky kar raha the ki fresh nahi hua ?" Vihu teased, leaning against the doorframe with a smug grin.
Today he is speaking too much. And I know the reason for him speaking too much.
And that is Dhri. Yup, agar vo ate toh dono lad lad ke hi maar jate fir uthne ka naam hi nahi lete paar Dhri aye nahi hai toh ye insaan half of the time sone ka kaam kar raha the train mein.
Aaahhh. How much I wish that if Dhri was here. I'm really missing her. Agar vo hote idhar toh at least ye toh nahi ata idhar.
“Maan mein gaali dena bandh kar, aur kuch bol,” Vihu's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I let out a long breath, shaking my head. “Arey, I was tired. As soon as we arrived, I crashed without even changing clothes. I just woke up a little while ago.”
He replied, "Accha. Koi na tu baad mein fresh hona aab. Phele let's call Dhri. I want to show her this place"
“But didn’t she say she’d be busy and might not have time to take any calls?” I reminded him. Dhri had been clear about that before we left.
Vihu shrugged, his lips curling into a devilish smile. “Vo toh bolti rehti hai uska mtlb ye thodi ki maan lene ka," he replied with that mischievous gleam in his eyes, as though already enjoying the chaos he was about to create.
I sighed, shaking my head knowing,
Gali khane wale hai ye insaan aur mujhe bhi saath mein khil vaye ga.Vihu pulled out his phone and dialed her number only to listen, "The phone is not reachable" he looked at me and I couldn’t help but smirk, raising an eyebrow while saying, "Told ya, Now go to your room, I want to get freshened up"
"Haan toh fresh ho na maine kaha roka hai.Tu bathroom mein jayega idhar thodi na change karega" He replied and before I could respond, he stepped closer and, in a teasingly flirtatious tone, ran his finger across my chest, his voice dropping suggestively. "Aur agar idhar karega toh bhi koi problem nahi hai. Asa kuch bhi nahi hai jo maine pehle nahi dekha."
I slapped his hand away, rolling my eyes at his antics. "Get lost before I throw you out," I said, to which he only laughed, his footsteps echoing through the corridor as he finally left.
The door clicked shut behind him, and I let out a long sigh, feeling the quiet settle in once again.
"I miss you," a quiet voice echoed in my mind.

.After 3 days....
Today our parents and Dhri are coming. I'm finally happy.
I walked towards the entrance of the hotel with Vihu, Amy and Di. And that's where we spotted our parents who are just crossing the gate of the palace in cars.
Everyone came outside and we being children greeted our own parents and that's when Randhir masa said to which everyone nodded feeling satisfied with our work, "Waah, decoration toh ek dum badiya kari hai."
I thanked him.
I looked at Vihu who is busy looking here and there and at last asked aunty, "Aunty, where is Dhri ?"
Ishani aunty hesitated before saying, "Ac... actually she missed the flight so, she will come from the train the day after tomorrow."
"WHAT"
"WHAT"
"WHAT"
"WHAT"We all four said together making our parents flinch.
Then Di asked, "But, aunty how did she miss her flight?"
"She said that she has an important meeting so she will attend that first and then will directly come to the airport," Replied Kavya masi.
"Iss champli ko last mein bhi kaam karna hota hai. Gadhedi" I heard Vihu murmured which was just audible to me so I glared at him.
"Don't glare at me like that. She deserves that." Vihu replied.
Mumma asked, "Kon ky deserves karta hai?"
"Kuch nahi." Vihu answered him in an uninteresting voice and walked towards his room with an angry face.
"Vihu... Vihu... Sunn toh sahi.." Kavya masi voiced out to him but he was long gone.
And after he went, everyone looked at each other in an awkward manner so I said, "Guys, let's go, all your rooms are arranged."
Everyone nodded and went to their allotted room to clean up and take a rest. I also went to my room only to find Vihu pacing here and there and when he saw me, he came towards me with his glare and said, "Dekh tune bola tha aa jayegi prr nhi ayi na"
"Arey flight miss ho gai isliye nhi aye varna toh Ane wale the na" I answered to which he replied, "Tu uski side lena bandh krr varna mar dunga pehle usko kyu ki time aur family ki kadar nhi hai aur fir tujhko kyu ki tu harr baar uski hi side leta hai"
I sighed, "Vihu try to understand from her point of view na." "Nahi smjhna. Agar aab vo nhi ayi na parso tak toh dekh lena ky karta hu main" he said and walked out of my room. The anger and irritation was clearly visible in his tone.
'Dhri kidhar reh jate ho aap haar baar. Aab toh bhagwan hi bachaye.' I sighed internally.

.
.Time skips....
"Vihu... Dhruv..." We were on the corridor when we heard Aunty calling us so we went there and said, "Yes aunty. Ky hua?"
"Dhiri nhi ayi hai abhi tak mujhe tension ho rahi hai. Uski call toh aa gai thi ki vo Rajasthan enter ho gai hai but... "
