Dangan Ronpa is a series, which is a video game in anime form. The main plot is that you are a student who is stuck in Hope's Peak Academy, and the only way to graduate is to kill a person and not get caught. Medley, you can explain the rest.

Mmmkay. Anyway, in the first game, you play as Makoto Naegi, who is the Super Duper High School Luckster, and in the second one, you play as Hajime Hinata, Super Duper High School Erection Head--- I mean "???".
There have been a few spin-offs of the series, as well as an anime for the first game.
The series, despite being about killing, is actually classified as a murder mystery game series, as you don't actually do any killing, but you investigate to find the true killer. A defining feature about Dangan Ronpa is that the blood is pink, which decreased the age rating in Japan.
