Lives matter!

The fresh air smelled wonderful as I stared at the building that read 'Highschool'. This is my first time in a real school so I'm hoping to find a friend.

My parents told me that I shouldn't be afraid of who I am. I wear new clothes that my parents have got me. They really didn't like my old clothes. So like they said is to appreciate who I am and what I look like.

They have also told me to be the best person. Not to be like I'm all that but be kind and help out those around me.

It won't be an easy day but at least I will get to see what changing classes and finding a friend would be like.

I walked in the door as the first morning bell rang. Everyone was rushing to their lockers like there was no tomorrow. I found my locker that I had on the piece of paper.

Some kid passed me running' bumping me as all my stuff fell to the floor.

"Watch where your going." He said.

He took off before I could say anything.
I picked up my stuff and then hit my head on a locker that some girl opened up above me. I then hit my head with no warning.

All my stuff fell again. Today has not been a great start.

"You should be more careful." She said shutting her locker.

"Thanks for the heads up."I said.

She helped me pick all my stuff.

"Whats your name?" She asked me.

"Marley. Marley Berkeley." I stuttered a bit.

"My names Laura Baker. I'm a Junior here. What about you?" She asked another question.

"Freshman." I said.

"Well nice to meet you. I hope to see you agian. We need to get to our classes. Bye." She said walking away.

Well then that was kinda odd. But maybe there are some nice people here. That do say sorry when they want to.

I didn't go to my locker so I decided to go to class. My first class was Geometry.

I walked into the classroom with everyone throwing papers at each other. The teacher wasn't in there so I waited outside.

It looked like something off a movie where everyone were just having fun.

A couple minutes later a woman about in her mid 20s came.

"Well Hello. Are you a new student?" She asked me.

"Why yes. I'm Marley. I figured to wait out here because everyone is throwing papers at one another." I said.

"Thats a smart thing to do especially when your new and have no clue what you are doing. Well I will take care of that. Im Mrs.German, wait here while I get these kids under control." She made me wait.

I heard her yelling at some boys. Which wasn't something I wanted to hear my first day but oh well.

The boys came out all drained. They went toward the office so they are in real trouble.

I didn't want to laugh cause I knew it was wrong. I didn't want to face the thing called detention.

"Alright come in." She told me.

I went into the room with everyone looking at me.

"This here is Marley. She will be in our class for the years to come. So don't be mean and stupid. You may sit anywhere you would like." She pointed to the empty seats.
