Sock was practically doing floating flips as Jonathan got on his black leather jacket and headed out of the house. "MAN, I'M PUMPED!" sock said with glee. "Who says that anymore?"

Jon said with a smile and a chuckle.

He then proceeded to slam the door on sock and watched as he floated grumply out through it.

Jon was silent as he walked to their destination.

Sock just began to make look around and finally have a unwelcome staring contest with jon as he floated by him.

Jon did his best to ignore him, but then snapped.

"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!"
"Staring into your soul!"

He said with a creepy voice.

He just facepalmed. "Ok.. That's wonderful."

Sock just looked at him and laughed. "You really think I can do that? Do you?!" he just snickered. Jon just looked a bit angered at this. "You know what sock, I don't know what to think of you anymore." he shook his head at the sky. "First you show up at my school telling me you're a demon and I "Must die!" and the next minute you're just chillin in my house and wanting to go to a rock concert with me!" he raised his eyebrows in confusion and threw his hands in his jacket pockets and sighed.

Sock just took all of this in, before just turning away.

And sniffing.

Jon just made a surprised face.

"Wait.. You can cry?!"
Sock just turned back and looked different than before. Almost demon-like.. Ripping his hat off and shouting,

"YEAH JERK! DEMONS CAN CRY TOO! WE WERE HUMAN ONCE TOO YA KNOW!"
He said in a strange echo-like voice.

Before he quickly put his hat back on and cowered back down.

Jon just looked shocked at this. But not fully surprised.

He had seen. Once, a time when he thought he was alone and he went to his room to study and saw Sock looking at a handbook of sorts. Something that told him how to do his job.

Maybe that's what made him that way..?

Sock just turned with yellow eyes. Crying a bit.

The horns were now gone, and so was the pointed tail, as they were just there for a moment.

"I'm so sorry... i didn't mean to get ya in this mess..,"

He just whispered.

They were now standing in the middle of the intersection at the stop sign. The place where they first met...

Jon just facepalmed again. He then looked both ways before getting up and heading back the way they came.

"But.. the concerts that way.."

Sock pointed weakly at the left street.

Jon just waved a hand. "I'll watch it on live tv, I'm going home..

Feel free to follow like ya always do..,"

Sock's eyes brightened a bit.

He began to float a bit towards Jon and noticed sock was looking normal again, but weaker.

He just frowned.

"I feel like," he scratched the back of his head. "I guess your my responsibility now too.., to help you..,"

Sock just nodded slowly. With a dull smile.

The sun started to set behind them as they walked to the house.

"ONE CONDITION THO!"

Sock nodded.

"Stop pestering me about death and doom..."

Sock nodded.  "I'll try.."
