TINTSWALO'S POV

After we broke eye contact, I was able to take in her stunning appearance. She's likely the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on. Her eyes are deep and captivating, her lips are slender yet inviting. I quickly snapped out of my daze and shook off the thought.
Me : "I'm sorry about that"
I said, feeling a bit embarrassed. She smiled and nodded graciously, then walked away, probably feeling a bit awkward after our brief staring contest.

Khanyi suddenly pulled me out of my daydreaming.
Khanyi : "Hey, girl! I thought you weren't going to show up because, let's be real, you can be a bit of a bum sometimes!"
I laughed and hugged her, feeling a bit embarrassed. But then I noticed she smelled like weed.
Me : "You really smell like weed!"
I said, wrinkling my nose. Khanyi just laughed and brushed it off
Khanyi : "Mize that! You look like you're bored. Come meet my friends, they're really cool!"
I asked for a drink first, and Khanyi offered me orange juice because she knows I don't drink alcohol.
Me : "Thanks, I'll wait here"
I said, feeling a bit more relaxed. Khanyi returned with my drink and promised it wasn't spiked, winking at me.
Khanyi : "I promise, no weed in here!"
she said, giggling.

We got to Khanyi's friends and they were all good-looking. But one girl stood out , the one I locked eyes with. She was really beautiful and caught my eye. She looked at me, then went back to talking to her friends. Khanyi tried to get everyone's attention, but the music was too loud. I quietly laughed at her because it was clear she wasn't going to get anyone's attention that way! Then she screamed at the top of her lungs
Khanyi: "Hi guys! This is my friend Tintswalo!"
She was so excited to introduce me to her friends. She sat on the pretty girl's lap and I felt a little jealous. I didn't know why I felt that way, since I didn't even know her. It was a weird feeling, but it went away quickly. I was just happy to be there with Khanyi and her friends.

Time went by, the music got louder, and I made new friends. But the pretty girl kept looking at me. I didn't know why. I wondered if it was because I had something on my face or if my hair was messy. I kept dancing and having fun, but then I felt a weird feeling when I smelled her perfume. It was a nice smell and it made me feel a little nervous. I looked at her and she smiled. I smiled back. A few minutes later, she appeared close to me.
Her : "I don't know your name."
Me : "I don't know yours either."
She laughed and said her name was Kosi. I told her my name was Tintswalo.
Kosi : "You're beautiful."
I blushed and looked away, feeling shy. I didn't know what to say, so I just smiled again.
Kosi : " mind going to a quieter place ?" I nodded and we walked away

We went outside and sat on a bench, surrounded by an awkward silence. The only sound was the distant music and chatter from inside. But Kosi broke the silence soon enough, her voice piercing through the quietness.
Kosi : "I couldn't help but stare at you."
Me : "Oh..."
I was trying to play it cool, but my heart was racing. Kosi continued
Kosi : "Yeah, I was wondering if you'd be okay with us getting to know each other better?" I shrugged
Me : "I don't mind..." I said trying to sound casual. We chatted some more, exchanging small talk and laughter. That's when I noticed her cornrows and her tomboy style clothes - she had a unique sense of style that I found intriguing. I wondered to myself, "Is she a lesbian?" I wasn't sure, but I was curious to find out. I didn't want to assume or jump to conclusions, but I couldn't help but feel a connection with her.

Our magical moment was suddenly interrupted by one of her friends calling her, saying it was time to go. And just like that, she got up and left - without even giving me her phone number or any way to contact her. I was left standing there, feeling a bit bewildered and wondering if I'd ever see her again. Will our paths cross again someday? I couldn't shake off the feeling that our connection was special, and I couldn't help but hope that fate would bring us together once more.
