"-and you need a break which you haven't had in quite a while, so you ought to go home and...Raahi Raichand are you listening to me?"

Raahi sighed, her gaze lifting up from her Macbook, meeting her best-friend's narrowed gaze.

Sara stood with her hands on her hips, utterly disappointed with her best-friend's carelessness with her own health.

Raahi gulped, as she averted her gaze, realising her best-friend was quite mad, and, she wasn't having an escape through this.

" I...don't want to. I'm fine here. Besides, you need me." She pointed out, unwillingly and subtly reminding her of her heartbreak because of the guy who she was in love with was probably taken.

Sara's eyes softened, and she sighed.

" Ree....I'll be fine. I will. You really need a break. How long do you plan on avoiding going home? You didn't even go home on either of the festivities, reasonating that there's way too much of work. Besides, you don't even know if he is there or not."

Raahi's nails dug into her thighs, inhaling sharply.

She was right.

She needed to go home.

Everyone, almost everyone who came by in her cabin, would look at her worn out self and tell her she needed a break and should go home this Christmas.

She'd simply passed them a weary smile, not really agreeing with them.

Charles had gone home a lot this year, even on the Indian festivities.

Oblivious to her, he'd been hoping to see her.

But she had skillfully avoided each time.

Six years, it'd been six whole years since she last met him properly.

She'd been to quite a lot of his races, but would leave before he could get to her.

The only conversations they'd ever had in the last six years were over text, or, if she was compelled to talk to him if he called.

But, maybe, he really wasn't home this year?

Maybe, she could drop by, maybe, he wasn't going to be in Monte Carlo at all.

" You know what...you're right. I'm going home." Raahi gave a nod as she texted her assistant to book a ticket for Monte Carlo.

Sara smiled, sort of a triumphant smile as she plopped herself down on the bean bag.

" Now we're talking. Should I inform Uncle-Aunty?"

" Don't! I plan on keeping it a surprise. I'm rushing home to pack, enjoy your retail therapy and send me the pictures! Bye S, I love you!" She was quick to slid all that she'd be carrying and blew her best-friend a kiss.

Sara laughed, blowing her a kiss as well as she followed her out of the room.
