The next morning, Arnav made it his mission to tease Khushi. From the moment she woke up, he kept bringing up "last night," making her blush all over again. She was so distracted by his teasing that she ended up burning several pooris, she and Payal were making for breakfast. Daadi noticed and had already taunted her once. Khushi knew she couldn't mess up again, but that laad governor, just won't give up. He seemed determined to make her blush no matter what. As everyone sat down for breakfast, Arnav gave Khushi a cheeky wink, leaving her in shock with her mouth wide open. Trying to ignore him, she quickly served everyone the upma she made after the pooris had been ruined. Even though she was flustered, she tried her best to focus on serving breakfast, but Arnav's teasing smile was hard to ignore.

Subhadra: "What is this nonsense you're feeding me? So much salt, are you trying to kill me?"

Khushi: "Forgive me, Dadiji, I am really sorry."

Payal: "Haan, aap yeh parathe khaa lijiye, please."

("Yes, please have these parathas instead.")

Subhadra: "Devyaani, had you lost your mind letting Arnav marry this scatterbrained, foolish girl? Just taste this upma and see for yourself!"

Arnav: "Khushi, come and sit here with me! Eat your breakfast"

Khushi: "No, I'll make something else and bring it!"

Arnav: "Khushi! No need to make anything else, it's an honest mistake. There is plenty of other things, we'll eat that."

Subhadra: "Look at how Arnav is tied to his wife's pallu! If you run off, girl, who will serve me these parathas? The daughters-in-laws of this house are totally useless! You can't even cook properly, and as the elder daughter-in-law, you have no sense of your responsibilities? You can neither walk properly nor do any work right! Absolutely disgusting."

Arnav (roared): "Enough daadi!"

Subhadra: "What's the use of shouting at me, Arnav? Explain things to your wife, does she even know how to do anything properly?"

Arnav: "Khushi is not a servant in this house, so she doesn't need to do any work!"

Subhadra: "That much is clear, seeing how you all have put these two on a pedestal! Since I have arrived, all I've seen are their mistakes! Neither do they know how to work properly, nor do they respect our traditions and rituals. Anyways, I don't care about this Payal, but Khushi, how could you even think of making her the daughter-in-law of the Malik family? This girl will drag all of your and my respect through the mud!"

Arnav (dangerously): "Aapko shayad pata nahi toh aapko bata doon daadi ki mera naam Arnav Singh Raizada h aur Khushi meri patni, Khushi Singh Raizada. Na main koi Malik, na vo Malik khaandaan ki bahu!"

("Perhaps you don't know, so let me inform you, Daadi, that my name is Arnav Singh Raizada, and Khushi is my wife, Khushi Singh Raizada. I am not a Malik, and she is not the daughter-in-law of the Malik family!")

Subhadra: "Kya? Apne pita ka naam bhi nahi laagaate tum apne naam ke saath?"

("What? You don't even mention your father's name along with yours?")

Arnav: "I don't consider him my father, and I won't let my name be associated with his."

Subhadra: "Stop your nonsense! How dare you speak against my son? Whether you like it or not, he was, is, and will always be your father, Arnav! Learn to respect him!"
