2015

"Alison! Alison, you're gonna be late!" My mom yelled.

"I'm coming!" I yelled back, applying more mascara to my eyes.

I took one last look in the mirror at myself. Curly hair? Check. Make up? Check. Cute outfit? Uh..DUH!

"Ready." I said, grabbing my purse and meeting my mom in the living room.

"Look at you." She said, looking at me up and down. "You've grown so much, sweetheart."

"Thank you mom." I said kissing her cheek. "Let's go."

Mom and I went to my friend, Calum's birthday bash. His parents are sort of rich so they threw Calum this huge birthday bash. When we got to his house, I was greeted by his mother.

"Alison, hello sweetheart." She said giving me a hug and kissing my cheek.

"Hello, Mrs. Hood. Where's Calum?" I asked, not wanting to waste a second with him.

"He's in his room. He insisted on waiting for you two to arrive." She smiled.

I went inside and upstairs to Calum's room. I knocked on the door rhythmically.

"Who is it?" He yelled over his loud music.

"Open the door and find out." I giggled.

He opened the door and a huge smile was painted across his face.

"I was hoping it was you." He said pulling me into a hug.

"Happy birthday, Mr. Hood." I giggled.

"Thank you." He said pecking my lips.

Calum and I are just friends but we're friends who kiss. We dated last year but it didn't last long. We just decided to be friends after that.

"You look amazing." I said noticing that he was dressed up in a tux.

"So do you, beautiful." He said, causing me to blush. I took my time to plan out my outfit today.

"Are you ready to mingle with your guest?" I laughed, Calum doesn't really like big things like this.

"I'd rather stay up here with you." He said snaking his arms around my waist and burying his face in my neck.

"Come on, your parent threw this party for you. You could at least pretend to have fun." I said grabbing ahold of his hands.

"If you are my date then I'll definitely have fun." Calum said, smiling wider.

"Of course." I said before smashing our lips together again.

"Let's go." He said. He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers before walking downstairs to meet his guest.

"Happy birthday." Everyone said together. And Calum's face lit up.

It feels good to be apart of all of this. Here with my best friend, his family, our friends. Everything is wonderful here.

"Can I have this dance?" Calum asked holding out his hand.

"You know I can't dance." I laughed.

"Neither can I." He laughed along. "Come on, Alison. Its my birthday.".

"Fine." I giggled, grabbing his hand. We walked to the center of the room.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and his around my waist. We swayed along to the music. It was just a perfect moment. The two of us, bodies moving in sync.

"Thank you for everything, Alison." Calum said.

"That's what friends are for." I giggled.

After Calum's party, I went home and just laid around.

The weekend ends tomorrow. Mondays are the worst. I was up for a few hours texting Calum.

(Calum , Alison)

Ready for tomorrow?

Not at all. Let's skip.

You know we can't do that.

Hey, wasn't Ms. Jones' last day Friday?

Yeah it was. Looks like English class is getting a new teacher.

Fantastic. -_-

Chin up, cupcake. It might be a good thing, we'll see.

Well, this cupcake is going to bed. I'm beat from all the dancing at your party. See you tomorrow, Cal.

Goodnight, Ali.
