I woke up the next morning, the sun beaming on me through the window. I roll over and look at my phone 6:38 am, Monday, August 26, 2015.

Yippy.

"Ugh, Monday." I really hate school now. I mean I'm 17. What 17 year old likes school.

I rolled out of bed and into the shower. My hair was still curly from the night before so I didn't wash it. I got out of the shower and brushed my teeth. I put on my new white laced underwear set that my mom bought me from Victoria's Secret. I put on a black crop top and red shorts with my black vans. I made sure that my eye shadow was dark. I carefully applied my eyeliner and mascara. I put on red lipstick which looked incredible with my outfit.

I went into the kitchen and my dad was sitting at the table reading the newspaper, sipping coffee and eating toast.

"Good morning, daddy." I said kissing his cheek, leaving a lipstick stain.

"Good morning, baby girl. Ready for school?" He asked seeming a little cheerful this morning.

"I might as well be." I said. "Where's mom?"

"She got called in early this morning." He explained. "Looks like I'll be taking you to school this morning."

Great. I haven't gotten to spend much time with my dad since he's gotten this new job. I really miss the time we spent together.

"Ready, pumpkin?" Dad asked.

"Yes, sir." I said grabbing my galaxy backpack and heading out the door.

I met up with Calum at school.

"Well, look at you." He said spinning me around and whistling.

"Stop." I giggled, knowing that my face was as red as my lips. "I have to go by the office and get a few papers so I'll see you in English, okay?"

"See you then." Calum said kissing my cheek and walking to his first period class.

I was making my way to the office when a tall guy bumped into me.

"Watch it." I said to the guy.

"Excuse me." He said, politely.

I haven't seen him around here before but he looked so familiar.

After leaving the office, I went to English. I sat in my normal seat in the front row, right infront of the teacher's desk.

We'll be getting a new teacher since Ms. Jones won't be here.

Our principal Mr. Morgan walked into the classroom and everyone got silent. A man walked in behind him but I couldn't quite see him.

"Class, as you know, Ms. Jones won't be attending this school any longer. This is your replacement, Mr. H." He explained. The man stepped from behind Mr. Morgan and I noticed he was who I ran into earlier. His face so familiar.

Mr. Morgan walked out and Mr. H began writing his name on the board.

"Hello everyone. My name is Mr. Luke Hemmings and I'm your new English teacher."

My heart dropped as he spoke. L-luke Hemmings. No way. Not my Luke Hemmings.

~Luke's POV~

"Hello everyone. My name is Mr. Luke Hemmings and I'm your new English teacher." I started. I could feel all their eyes on me but as I looked around I noticed a girl in the front row wasn't looking at me.

"Since you guys know my name, maybe i could get to know yours. Starting with the front." I said trying to catch her attention. "What's your name?" I asked tapping her shoulder.

She looked up at me, her hazel eyes burning deep into my soul. Her dark eye shadow forcing them to pop and her red lipstick complimenting her black and red outfit.

"Um...Alison. Alison Curtis." She spoke up. My heart stopped and I froze for a second.

Alison Curtis. My best friend Alison from home. My real home.

"Nice to meet you, Alison." I finally said. "And you?" I continued to go down the row trying not to make it obvious that I knew who she was. Oh my God.

~Alison's POV~

"Nice to meet you, Alison." He smiled and continued down the rows.

Wow. Luke has certainly grew up. He looks amazing! His eyes piercing through me and he has grown so much. He's much taller than me now.

After class, I didn't even notice the bell ring.

"Ms. Curtis." I heard. I looked above me and Mr. Hemmings was standing there.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, forget him teaching. Why is he here?

"Filling in of course." He chuckled.

"No. Why are you here? In California. Why?"

"We moved here. Remember?" He informed me.

"Trust me, I remember everything from those days. This can't be real. I was so sure I'd never see you again." I confessed. God, he looks amazing.

"Well, here I am." He laughed. Is this some joke to him?

Its been 5 years since Luke and I have seen each other.

"I must go now I have class." I said. I walked straight out of that room.

I walked down the hall, tears threatening to fall. Calum caught up with me.

"Where have you been? I was looking for yo-" he stopped and looked at my face. "Why are you crying?"

"I'm not." I said, trying to smile it off.

"You're about to." He said putting his arms around my waist. "What's wrong, Alison?"

I smiled and kissed him.

"I am perfectly fine, Cal. Promise." I said and kissed him again.

"Do you want me to walk you to your next class?" Calum asked.

I honestly wanted to be alone. Just to think about how weird its going to be seeing Luke everyday. 5 years. 5 years is such a long time. And of course of all the places we couldve reunited it had to be in English class with him as the teacher and I the student.

I reached my next hour class, but I just sat there and thought about Luke and the fact that we are both here. Now.
