Chapter 11: Absolute Justice

You rushed to where you heard Nami's screams; watching a man with a marine hat and rat whiskers take away a chest brimming with treasure and jewels, nami was being held back by a girl with purple hair and appeared to be a few years older than Nami. The marine and his lapdogs began to haul the treasure as Nami finally fell to her knees in tears.

You: " I guess things didn't match your plan huh? "

Nami: " Ah! Why are you here?! How are you here?! "

???: " Who is he nami "

Nami: " He doesn't matter Nojiko, he's dangerous though so leave! "

Nojiko: " I'm not leaving you here with a dangerous man "

You: " I don't hurt Innocent people Nami, you should know that by now atleast; I thought you would see better in me, I guess I have seemed pretty cruel "

Nami: " So you're going to kill me then? "

You: " As I just said, I don't hurt the innocent- come on let me help you up "

You walked over to her, offering her a hand as her sister stood by hesitant and worried but eventually Nami took your hand despite her hesitation and let you help her to her feet, dirt covered the front of her jeans as she had fallen to her knees in despair and you quickly began trying to help her brush the dirt off them and her hands.

Nami: " I stole your treasure, you're not mad? "

You: " I'm sure Luffy would come here asking for your reason- if I plan to stay with you I'll need to do it his way myself; like I said before, I won't hurt innocents and I've begun to piece the puzzle together "

Nami: " You have? "

Nojiko: " Are you a pirate sir? How can we be certain you won't hurt Nami even if you say you won't; pirates aren't exactly a truthful bunch "

You: " Good question, Nojiko was it? I'm (Y/N) by the way "

You offered her a handshake but she seemed too scared to accept and you quickly retracted it and offered her a genuine smile instead

You: " I know I seem untrustworthy but if It's needed for you to begin trusting me then I'll make it safer for the two of you "

You threw down your broken sword, tossing it by Nami's feet as she eyed it- Nojiko let out a sigh of relief but Nami knew better and kept watching you, Nojiko seemed confused by this and brought her tough exterior back up as she noticed Nami didn't feel safer like she did- you brought out a pistol next, loading a bullet into it which seemed to scare the girls as they prepared to attack, that was until you flipped the gun around and pointed the handle at Nami so she could grab it.

Nami: " A gun? I've seen what these do to you, the bullets pass through you- as if I'm going to trust you mean well by giving me it "

You: " You should- the bullet in that is seastone; it'll cancel out my devil fruit powers "

Nami took a step back, shocked that the person she had seen so guarded and on edge constantly handing her a weapon that could kill him with ease just so she felt safer in front of him was almost enough to make her change her opinion on pirates.

Nami: " Are you sure of this? "

You: " There was no need for me to make myself seem so threatening towards you in the first place, I sincerely regret making myself seem like the type of person you need to defend yourself against- You have every right to keep your guard up around me so if having that gun on you makes you feel safer then I'll allow you to keep it pointed to my head at every second if you need it and if my killing of people makes me seem untrustworthy then from here on you have my word that I will not take another life unless it is the only resort; if my actions seem irredeemable or make me a devil for enacting them then please shoot me now "
