-ADELAIDE STATE COLLEGE, Founded 1863-

"HELLOOOO WELCOME TO ADELAIDE! I hope. you all are as excited to be here as I am!" An older pale redheaded lady greets 6 other students and myself, "My name is Mrs.Whetting and I'm the transfer advisor so I'll normally be in my office, but this morning I will be guiding you all to your dorms!" Despite her senior-esque appearance she sounded like a young kindergarten teacher, it was very welcoming.
Our group of 9 heads towards Pine Hall, the dorms specifically for transfer students.

"Now this is Pine Hall, where you all will be staying, now I'm not sure if you all know this but we had other options." Mrs.Whetting explains matter-of-factly which makes the group share a few chuckles. In fact, we did know that and our dorm arrangements were preplanned through Reddit. Well except one guy... I don't know who the hell that guy is.

"So do we have to stay here like forever? Orrrrr will we be able to get different dorms next semester?" The entire group turns around to look at a  6'5 brownskin boy with curly hair who appeared confused.

"Bro shutttt upppp!!" A guy at the front of the group whines loudly which makes the group share confused glances. The men were identical and somehow no one had noticed. I start to laugh along with another girl as Mrs.Whetting explained on campus housing (somehow maintaining her composure as the group acted a bit immaturely). She led us inside the building and wrapped up our campus introduction... despite only showing us where our dorms were and pointing towards the direction of cafeteria.

-STUDIO 143-

I have a shared apartment-like dorm shared with 3 of the 6 others from the group while the other two, Isaiah and Elijah Williams (Sophomore twins with an athletic scholarship in basketball, studying Communications and Sports Medicine respectively) decided to bunk together seperately. Allison Miranda-Smith (Junior transfer studying Computer Science) and I shared a room; Ryann Mitchell (Sophomore transfer studying Biochemistry)  bunked with Kenji Fujino (Junior transfer studying Business Administration).

At this time we were all in our respective rooms setting up (well that's what we said, I had no intention on actually doing it).

"Yo does anyone want pizza?" A deep male voice shouts from beyond my walls, I assume Ryann. Before I respond I make my way back to the living room, and to my suprise it was Kenji.

He was my height (5'11) with short jet black hair, fair skin, and big squared glasses.

"Oh shit Kenji I've never heard you talk before." I tell him as I sit on the loveseat opposite of Kenji.

"Damn that's crazy....so do you want pizza or nah?" He looks up from his phone with a semi-annoyed stare.

As if they were on cue Allison and Ryann appear at the second mention of pizza. They both sit down on the wrap-around couch Kenji's on. The four of us debate on what toppings we should get, unfortunately it ended with Ryann crying and Kenji getting a plain cheese pizza.

-2 Pizza's and a beer later-

Settling into my room I take in my new normal. I plop down backwards onto my bed and sigh heavily. Come to think of it, we had never exchanged selfies...just vibes, albeit it doesn't matter but when I looked closely at the twins..... mmhmm. Lord have mercy. Well, time to set up my dorm and get things shaking; classes start next week!

-

It was a brisk autumn Monday morning, 10 am to be exact. As I studied my new surroundings I took a deep breath and prepared myself for everything to come. I approached the History and Social Sciences building; passing hundreds of depressed, indifferent, and eager students all scurrying around campus like ants. The feeling of being on campus again made me excited, albeit my anxiety from being in a new environment added a hint of worry.

Upon reaching the building there was a blonde haired man opening the door for me, so I had to jog a little to close the mildly uncomfortable gap between us. Fortunately for me the steps were not many but just enough to get my heart pumping a little.

"Thank you!" I thank the man in a breathily thankful manner.

Without responding he gives a tight-lipped smile, head nod, and a salute before making his way down the corridor. I chuckle to myself while pulling out my phone to navigate to my first class of the day, African American History. It was on the second floor allllllll the way at the end of the long hallway. Figuring since the second floor is reasonable I decide to take the stairs which proved to be the correct decision since there was a LINE at the elevator.

Shaking my head at the thought of waiting in a line for the elevator I lightly jog up the stairs. Finally making it to the second floor I start my walk down the never ending hallway, eventually reaching room 216.
