Sapnap has spent over two years waiting for today's announcement. He has listened to the songs of his favorite musician while on the bus to and from his university, while driving to and from work, and while cooking meals for himself.
Gorgonops is not a well-known musician, so none of Sapnap's friends or coworkers recognize the name whenever he mentions him. However, this does not bother Sapnap at all. Instead he feels proud knowing that he is probably the musician's biggest fan!
George Navy is only a few years older than Sapnap, and he is the founder of the one-man-band Gorgonops. He can sing and play an electric guitar, but he has never performed live before... until today's announcement changes that.
George's rise from a locally-known singer of Brighton to a regional celebrity of the United Kingdom has culminated in the planned announcement of his first-ever tour.
Living in Texas, Sapnap is completely prepared for disappointment. Surely the Gorgonops tour will only visit locations in the United Kingdom, so he cannot be too hopeful that he will get a chance to see his favorite musician perform live.
As the clock on Sapnap's smartphone reaches 2:58am, he does not feel exhausted at all. Instead he feels exhilarated as his anticipation grows. Again he refreshes the tab which will show the planned locations for the Gorgonops tour, then he leans back in his desk chair and stretches. He has been sitting in his bedroom, basking in the warm glow of his desk lamp for almost an hour. Briefly he considers leaping from his chair to open a window so fresh night air will cool his stuffy bedroom. He reconsiders when his smartphone's alarm rings and disturbs the tense silence. 2:59am. Leaning forward again, Sapnap intertwines his fingers for a pleading gesture. Please come to Texas, please come to Texas, please come to Texas -
Time seems to slow down. Sapnap's heart pounds. His throat is dry, and he promises fervently that even if George Navy performs in another state like California or Florida, he will find a way to attend.
The time reaches 3:00am. Frantically Sapnap refreshes the tab which says "Stay tuned! Concert dates and locations will be announced here at 11:00am BST!" His fingers tremble as he grips the computer mouse, not even blinking as the page turns white. Then a new wall of text appears.
The Gorgonops tour has announced its dates and locations... yet Sapnap's heart sinks when he discovers how short the list is.
"Oh my god, oh my god, please, please, please..." He searches the list.

Fortunately he lives in a studio apartment without roommates, so he does not need to worry about waking anyone as he jumps up and down with excitement. Punching fists in the air, he shouts, "Yes, yes, yes!"
