PROMPT:
"Watch where you're going." the villain growled as the hero ran face first into them. The villain made no move to retreat as his dark, piercing eyes bored into the hero's light ones.
"O-okay."
A small smile tugged at the corners of the villain's mouth and he chuckled. "That's all it takes to shut you up, huh? Close quarters?" He leaned in almost imperceptibly. "You wanna tell me why you're blushing?"
STORY:
Brinn leapt from the top of the trash bin and into the alleyway, shoving her retractable bow into her backpack. The moonlight and street lamps lit up the street around her, making it seem much earlier than 2am. "Fletcher, you make it off the roof?" Blitz asked through the comms. "Yeah I'm down and out." Brinn responded, checking up and down the street before exiting the alley and casually walking back towards the entrance to the subway. "Ok, sign off when you're ready." Blitz told her.
Brinn reached up and flicked off the earpiece she was wearing and continued down the street. The fight had gone well tonight. The team had managed, pretty easily, to keep the villains from robbing the museum. They hadn't needed Brinn's help almost at all. She was happy that no one had gotten hurt, and the most wonderful part of all? Shadowstorm never once showed up!
A small smile lit Brinn's face at the thought of the magical villain busy with some other hobby. Maybe he collected spoons? "Nah, he's probably in an emo band." She chuckled to herself, as she started down the steps of the subway. Out of habit, she pulled her phone out of her pocket. No new messages. No "Hey you did great tonight!" from Blitz. Nothing.
Brinn sighed in disappointment, pocketing her phone. Unfortunately, she hadn't lifted her gaze up by the time she reached the bottom step and she walked face first into a stranger. "Watch where you're going." The stranger hissed. "Sorry, so sorry! I didn't mean to-" Brinn's apology trailed off as she finally got a look at the stranger. The really hot male stranger that looked around her age. Everything about him was handsome. From her wavy hair to his jawline to his eyes. His eyes were such a dark blue they were nearly purple. Or were they purple?
"That's all it takes to shut you up, huh? Close quarters?" He smiled, leaning closer to Brinn. Brinn felt her cheeks heating with embarrassment. Had she really just been staring into his eyes like some lunatic?? The man's smile widened. "Wanna tell me why you're blushing?" He asked in a low voice.
A voice that sounded awfully familiar. Brinn's began to get an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach. "Do I know you?" She blurted out, taking a single step backwards up the stairs. The man gave a small shrug. "Oh, a little" he replied. Brinn wasn't sure, but she was starting to think that he wasn't someone to get comfortable with. "Where from?" She asked, casually reaching to grab her backpack off her back.
Her hand had barely reached the straps when the stranger lunged forward and grabbed her wrists. "Hey! Get off!" Brinn shouted, kicking at him. "Let me go you psychopath!"
He only laughed as dark swirls of magic emerged from his hands and engulfed her wrists. Horror filled her as she recognized it as Shadowstorm's magic. A sudden wave of drowsiness overcame her, as she stumbled down the steps and into Shadowstorm's arms.
The last she heard was his voice, but if he was gloating, she couldn't tell.

Okay so these are going to be shorter because I am not super creative
I originally wrote this story in '22 so it definitely needs some work.
