"It's midnight "
The glass of water slipped through chaeyoung's hand as she looked out of window it's was dark it was pitch dark how did time passed how did she not realize was she just sitting at once place for hours what's wrong with her that's not her how did she even end up like this her parents looked at her with worry her mom was tearing while her dad stood there speechless what was wrong with her she tried to balance on her feet as she felt defeated she took a last glance at her food cold and untouched her stomach was empty since morning yet it didn't grumble she sat there whole day thinking about her misery she felt confused how did so much time pass how did she not even heard a single knock or call Chaeyoung ran to her room not wanting to see the disappointment in her parents eyes
"Did chaeyoung woke up " Her dad asked "no " Her mom replied in worry "it's past 3 in the afternoon should we check on her " Her dad asked "I'll go I have prepared her favourite food once she eats it she will be happy" Her mom tried to smile
Her mom stood at the door of her daughter's room the room was messy while her daughter layed on the bed curved in the blanket her eyes were wide open with deep dark circles as if she never slept her skin was wrinkled and looked tired and dull
Her mom closed the door instant breaking down "what happened" Her dad asked "I failed as a mother " Her mom weeped while her husband tried to console her "I never intended to hurt her I just want her to accomplish the things I failed too am I a bad mom I just wanted best for her " Her mom cried
"Chaeyoung your mom prepared food for you come down stairs" Her dad called "chaeyoung" Her dad called again "chaeyoungahhh get up now " Her dad tried to shout defeated "I brought food straighten up" Her mom came hiding her tears while her father tried to straighten her up and tried to tie her hair "I'll feed you" Her mom tried to smile but as she tried to feed her daughter
Chaeyoung refused to open her mouth she looked at her parents trying her best to eat yet she had no energy to eat or straighten up "you have to eat" Her mom requested "chaeyoungahhh I brought your favorite pastry" Her friend jennie shouted as she barged in while Chaeyoung face stayed the same tired crumbled "please eat something" Jennie requested "Chaeyoung....she is gone Chaeyoung is gone she ...died " Chaeyoung mumbled while her dad tried to hug her
"Jennie come outside" Her mom ordered "what is it aunty" Jennie asked "if I ask you something will you give me " Her mom asked "whatever you want " Jennie replied "I want Jiye, Aera Contact and information I am going to make them pay no one hurts my daughter" Her mom commanded "You'll get everything by evening and whatever is the plan count me in" Jennie agreed
"Do you know why your here " The woman in front of her asked "because my parents wanted" Chaeyoung replied
"I thought we were going to meet at your clinic" Chaeyoung added "well this is my clinic might be a little too comfortable and unprofessional " The woman replied "By the way I am MJ " The woman introduced "don't worry that's not my real name my patients prefer to call me this" MJ added
"So how this works" Chaeyoung asked while scratching her temple "well even I don't know how this works" MJ replied while copying Chaeyoung's action "can I lay down on this couch " Chaeyoung asked "are you tired" MJ asked
"I haven't been able to sleep well for the past few months "Chaeyoung replied "I sleep for 8 hours or sometimes more or just sometimes all day but When I wake up I am dead tired" Chaeyoung complained "something big happened in your life recently" MJ asked "I don't know to define it but lately alot of action took place in my life" Chaeyoung replied
"How do you feel Chaeyoung"
"Well I was okay the day before yesterday but not yesterday not even today my emotions are all over the place I don't know if I am resting or falling apart"
"Hello" Her mom answered the call "it's me MJ " The therapist said through other line "how was the session" Her mom asked "Partially good " MJ replied "so how is she " Her mom asked "you want me to tell you the truth? " MJ asked "yes" Her mom replied partially scared "she is struggling with anxiety and Clinical depression which is serious person with depression don't even have energy to put on shoes even the simplest things like eating sleeping washing can be hard too she is also struggling with hallucinations she first experienced it was when she realised she was betrayed which laid to delusions"MJ explained
"where did it go wrong " Her mom asked hurt " I don't quite know her story but maybe when she started believing she was a burden for you for her or when she started blaming herself for everything or maybe when she normalized having anxiety attacks on every normal mock test"
Chaeyoung sighed as she heard her mom talking to therapist inspite of having no will Or energy she escaped her house weakly trying to walk away she never wanted to become a burden to them but yet again she failed being a good daughter her parents did everything for her. Her mom went through all that pain only to give birth to a failure like her. she tried to speed up causing her to stumble down the rock
But still she continued to run until she stood right in the middle of the busy road the vehicles running furiously She looked around and felt helpless her body had no energy to run more she tried to explain herself she is not depressed she does not have anxiety she is okay she has to be okay she repeated until she saw a white truck coming towards her the weather turned stormy people around her started running due to unexpected rain but still she stood there looking at the truck coming near her she closed her eyes in defeat waiting for the truck to hurt her until she was pulled by a force closer
"Chaeyoung! "
The guy yelled
"hey...um thanks for saving me I actually got blank seeing a truck " Chaeyoung lied "do you want to sit somewhere for a moment" Jungkook asked sensing something wrong "sure" Chaeyoung smiled
"Why did you not attend university these days " Jungkook asked "who attends university its boring" Chaeyoung exaggerated "oh really" Jungkook asked "yes and forget about that day it's my tendency to overreact" Chaeyoung added "I still laugh remembering that day" Chaeyoung forced laugh
"don't force yourself to laugh even if you feel like crying"
Jungkook said only to make chaeyoung speechless"you did not overreact that day you are not skipping university because you want to "he added with a stern voice
" Jeon..... "Chaeyoung mumbled" There must be a lot going through your life I won't ask you but just don't bottle up your feelings not me but share it with someone Chaeyoung "Jungkook requested"To be true to you I don't know where it go wrong but now I am exhausted Jeon and I am sacred I am so sacred to trust anyone with anything I am just throwing people away from me" Chaeyoung sighed
"We barely met a few months ago and we are also not friends " Jungkook said while standing up "but When you take this hand I'll try my best Chaeyoung to help you just give me a chance when you take this hand all the mirrors in between us have to break " Jungkook said as he extended his hand
"Take my hand"
