Ten minutes, I have ten minutes, I could run? No I'm already late, doesn't matter now. I hate my life. This job interview was literally all I had going right and I'm late, late.

Okay let's think about my apology, I'm sorry I'm late, I umm woke up late? There was traffic? No that won't work, I rang early this morning to book a time and I'm walking, not driving.

I spent the rest of the walk mumbling things to myselfi, as I approached the restaurant my heart began to race, I knew this was a terrible start but I have to go and apologise at least.

"Hi is Mr Bridges here?"

"And you are?"

"April, April Autumn, terrible name I know" I laughed but got no reaction so I just looked down at the ground.

"You're late!"

"I know, it's just that when I..."

"No one cares, you're at table 26 and Mr bridges doesn't look too happy so watch out"

"Thanks..."

I wandered towards the table, as I approached I got a cold look from the man sitting at it.

"Hi I'm..."

"Miss autumn I know, please sit."

I perched on the edge of my chair nervously pulling at the thread coming lose at the bottom of my skirt.

"Now Miss Autumn, being late for an interview is not a good start, how can I let you work for me when you aren't reliable enough to get to an interview?"

"I promise sir, I am reliable I just had..."

"Car trouble? Woke up late? Yes I've heard it all before and it isn't good enough"

"But..."

"I'm sorry April, I can't let you work with me right now, you can reapply for the job and we can meet again soon, but for now, I'm saying goodbye." He stood up and walked away dropping some money on the table as he left.

"That went well April" I said to myself as I slumped back into my chair. If you would just become more organised I thought to myself.

My thoughts drowned me. I had to leave I didn't want to waste anymore time sitting here. I stood up and began walking towards the door. I wasn't walking for long until a chair rapidly flew into the back of my legs knocking me completely over.

"Shit I'm so sorry!" The stranger shouted putting his hand down to help me up.

"I don't think this day could get any worse" I mumbled to myself.

"April!" He questioned.

"Oh look it just did" I pushed the hand away and used the back of someone's chair to help me up. Thousands of memories started to flood back into my head, what was happening, why today. Why?
