Wooyoung sat by the window, staring out at the city. His phone buzzed once, twice, and each time he checked it, his heart skipped. The same name. San.
The thing was, Wooyoung had been holding back, too. He had felt the shift in their friendship, but he wasn't sure how to handle it. The connection they shared — the late-night talks, the inside jokes, the way their eyes would meet and everything else would fade into the background — it had started to feel different. And Wooyoung didn't know if he was ready for it.
He missed San. So much. More than he wanted to admit. More than he was willing to let on. But how could he explain that? How could he tell him that the way his heart would race every time he saw San wasn't normal? That he didn't just see his best friend when he looked at him anymore. He saw something more. Something terrifying.
Wooyoung wasn't sure when it had happened. When he started to notice the little things about San — how his laugh sounded like music, how his eyes always seemed to light up when he talked about his passions. And how, sometimes, his smile was enough to make Wooyoung's heart flutter, even when they were just standing next to each other, no words needed.
But the fear of ruining their friendship kept him silent.
Until today. When he finally sent that text.
"𝐈 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐒𝐚𝐧"
And now, waiting for a reply, Wooyoung wasn't sure what he wanted. Maybe he was hoping San would reach out first. Maybe he wanted an excuse to say everything that had been building up for months.
His phone buzzed again. This time, it was a message from San.
