Hansol walked towards his apartment which he shared with Seungkwan, he remembered what happened the year before and was proud of himself of where he had come to. His parents - if you could call them that - kicked him out the house as he was gay. He had found out two months prior to telling them as he figured he should be honest with his family, it didn't turn out to be the right thing as his mother turned fully berserk and cursed him out full until his father came home that day and needless to say he was kicked out.
His sister -Sophia - did a lot to help. She knew from the beginning as though being younger Hansol went to her for advice and she gave him it, but she had no say if he stayed or was kicked out the house. She still stayed in touch with him though secretly meeting him after school pretending she was in the library.
Even from that, Hansol had never really moved on from the words his parents had said to him. They stayed in his head like a reminder that he wasn't good enough and he started seeing all teachers like that. Teachers that where good to the ones who where strict, all he could see in them was that they where the same. He could say the same of his own country but what could he do. He couldn't openly admit that he was gay, hell he hasn't even told Seungkwan yet. He didn't know what his reaction would be and he didn't want to find out. After his parents reaction he doesn't believe anyone would except him if his parents wouldn't.
The way his teachers spoke of the lgbtq+ community with pure disgust but having to teach it as it would be part of the curriculum but his own country do not regulate same sex marriage?
It put questions through Hansols head. Why was the world made like this. What made people think the way they did. Why was he made like this.
He had put all these aside knowing there where no answers. If in reality he could say something he would say it's a lost cause or a supernova -like Wonwoo liked to call it.
Hansol in all honesty couldn't say he hadn't told someone because he had. He told Wonwoo for a reason he doesn't know but all he knows was that it was a good choice as he found Wonwoo giving him small words of advice, though small they held a lot of meaning such as supernova. Wonwoo called it that as he felt Hansols story was like one, a star bursting but not in a way that it's a dying star. More like it's reached its full potential in that shell so it bursts into a new shell to keep growing.
He had thanked Wonwoo over and over again as he finally saw the world in a new light. His parents to his sister to teachers and his newly found friends, he finally found lightness in the darkness he was surrounded by. He finally found out what he was living for and a few words made by his parents who didn't understand him couldn't affect him. His sister -who he was so grateful for- had said it from the start but he didn't listen, but now he did and would.
He wanted to meet his parents again regardless of the words they had said and may repeat again, but he wanted some closure. He wanted to see if he was still the faggot they claimed he was to be. He didn't want to be that but if his parents still said it then that was his closure. He would carry it and learn to forgive but not forget. He wanted to give chances even if it meant getting hurt again, he wanted to try even if it meant going back to the start - it might not thought. It may make him go to the finish line and for that reason he would do it.
He would confess his love to Seungkwan and tell his parents about it either getting their prayers or wishes of him never coming in their sight again.
Y'all can I just say the word supernova randomly painted so many ideas in my head. I feel like they are so significant and they have such a nice meaning. I gotta make a ff on one based on it Icl.
