 Leah POV:

Whilst I was getting dressed to go out with the Arsenal girls I got a text from Beth saying she was bringing an old friend of hers if that was alright. Everyone replied that it was ok with them so I did to. Everyone arrived at the bar around 9pm. Then Beth and Viv walked in with Beth's friend following behind them, I couldn't help but stare at the girl because she was the most stunning individual I had ever seen. She had this long brown curly hair and the most beautiful green eyes I had ever seen. Beth introduced everyone to her and everyone said hi. I couldn't help but notice how she was smiling at me the whole time. After a while of talking everyone was going to order a drink and I would go get them, when I was giving the order to the barman I felt someone's hands on my waist whilst passing, when I looked it was Ella she came and sat next to me and smiled. She said:" I thought you could use a hand with carrying al those drinks." "Yeah, that's maybe a good idea thanks." I said smiling at her. After we dropped of the drinks at our table I asked if there was anyone who would like to go on the dancefloor and have some fun. Ella was the first to answer and she took my hand and dragged me to the dancefloor.

Ella POV:

After a while of dancing we went to go grab another drink and then Leah asked me what my job was and I said I was a surgeon a peds surgeon to be precise. She thought it was so impressive but little does she know I had to work really hard to get where I am today and I had hit rock bottom a few times but no one knew except for Beth and she was the one who helped me thru those periods of my life. She then asked me how come I knew Beth and I Said that we had met in school and we have been best friends ever since.

Leah POV:

As Ella and I stood by the bar, I couldn't help but feel mesmerized by her. She had a warmth about her, a confidence mixed with a kind of vulnerability I couldn't quite put my finger on. Her story about becoming a surgeon intrigued me, and I found myself wanting to know everything about her. We stood there for a moment in silence, the music thumping around us, and I was suddenly very aware of how close we were standing."You know, it's pretty amazing to be a pediatric surgeon," I said, trying to keep my cool, but I knew my admiration was probably written all over my face. "I can't imagine the strength it must take."Ella smiled softly, a glimmer of something I couldn't quite read in her eyes. "It's... definitely not easy, but it's worth it," she said, her voice thoughtful. "Seeing the kids get better, watching them go home healthy... it's what keeps me going." Her voice trailed off, and she looked at me as if she was letting me in on a piece of herself. I wanted to reach out and tell her I understood, but I couldn't find the words.Just then, Beth came up behind us, clapping her hand on my shoulder and giving Ella a teasing look. "So, you two seem to be getting along well!" she laughed, making me blush a bit. "Ella, I think Leah's about to pull you onto her list of favorite people.""Is that so?" Ella grinned, looking at me with a playful spark in her eye. "Well, I'm honored, Leah."I was so caught up in the moment that I hardly noticed Beth slipping away, leaving Ella and me standing there together again. The music shifted to a slower song, and without thinking, I extended my hand. "Dance with me?" Ella's smile was soft, and she took my hand, letting me guide her back to the dancefloor. As we moved to the music, the world around us seemed to fade. Her hands rested lightly on my shoulders, and I felt her pull me a little closer. She looked into my eyes, and I could feel the air change between us."You know," Ella whispered, leaning in, her breath warm against my ear. "I don't usually do this kind of thing... but something about tonight just feels different."I met her gaze, feeling a boldness I didn't know I had. "I feel it too," I said softly, brushing a loose curl away from her face. For a moment, it felt like we were the only two people in the room. But then the song ended, and the noise of the bar flooded back in, pulling us out of our little bubble. Ella stepped back slightly, and I could see a flicker of hesitation cross her face."Do you... want to grab a drink somewhere quieter?" I asked, hoping the night wouldn't end just yet.She looked at me, a smile slowly spreading across her face. "I'd love that." And as we left the bar together, I knew this was the beginning of something I couldn't wait to discover.
