One minute we were standing on the dock, ready to go on the boat and the next... the sky was filled with a horrible buzzing sound, bullets passing between a whisker of our heads. It was chaos... and it was death. The first person to get hit was mother. Poor mother who had warned us, who was sure that this would happen. Mother was the one to get hit first. A masked assassin stood in front of her and took aim. The bullet went straight through her foot as splinters of bone erupted. Mother screamed. An earspilting scream. A scream that begun the destruction of my world. The masked assassin looked around where duplicates of him surrounded us. The person who had shot mother shouted:

"Don't harm the little girls. Just take the ambassador and let them go."

"And let them bring the army here?" another sneered. "Are you crazy?"

Father, Gracie and I clutched each other, all looking hopelessly at mother's dead body. I wept and begged these so called rebels who ruined my life.

"Please spare us. We won't bring the army. My father is a good man. Please!" They laughed and each men had their guns pointed at our chests. I had to make something right before I died.

"Please bury my poor mother. Please..." I trailed off as one man picked her up and flung her into the sea. Furious now, I escaped! I ran and ran and ran... and then there was a gunshot.
