AT Café
The soft hum of the café surrounded them as Jennie sipped on her coffee, her eyes gleaming with mischief. Hyunjin, sitting across from her, was scanning through some files but couldn't help but notice the playful glint in Jennie's eyes.
Jennie: "You know, I still remember how you used to have a big crush on Y/N back in school."
Hyunjin's eyes widened slightly, a faint blush creeping onto his cheeks.
Hyunjin: "I wasn't the only one," he mumbled, trying to brush it off.
Jennie smirked, leaning forward.
Jennie: "I don't know about others, but I definitely remember you stalking her around school. You even blushed every time she looked your way. What happened to that crush, huh?" she teased, raising an eyebrow.
Hyunjin chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.
Hyunjin: "I wasn't the only one with a crush. I think we all knew how much she meant to everyone back then." He paused, looking down at his hands. "But after that incident..."
Jennie's expression softened a little.
Jennie: "Yeah, after the accident, everything changed." She watched his face for a moment, and then added, "It's crazy to think about how Y/N doesn't even remember all that, right? She's so happy with Jungkook now, and it's clear they've built a life together. Even if she doesn't remember, she's made her peace with everything."
Hyunjin nodded slowly, his voice quieter now.
Hyunjin: "I'm just glad she's happy. Even if things didn't go the way I imagined back then... I know she's in good hands with Jungkook."
Jennie smiled at him, giving him a playful wink.
Jennie: "I knew you'd come around. But seriously, Hyunjin, you should have told her how you felt back then. But now? You'll have to settle for being the best friend, right?" she teased.
Hyunjin laughed, shaking his head.
Hyunjin: "I've learned my lesson, Jennie. And besides, she's married now. She's got Jungkook. And that's who she wants. What more can a guy ask for?"
Jennie chuckled, swirling her coffee.
Jennie: "True. But I'll always be here to tease you about it."
Hyunjin: "Yeah, I know," Hyunjin said with a smile, glad that the conversation had lightened up. "So, enough about me. What's the latest on your side of things? Any more plans for revenge?"
Jennie's face turned serious again.
Jennie: "Not yet, but we're getting closer. We've been gathering information. We need to make our move carefully, especially with Y/N involved."
Hyunjin's expression turned more serious, his tone protective.
Hyunjin: "Just make sure no one gets hurt, okay?"
Jennie nodded, her eyes hardening with determination.
Jennie: "I won't let anyone hurt her. Not again."
At Lee Corporation
Y/N sat at her desk in Lee Corporation, glancing over the documents in front of her. It had been a long day, but it felt good to finally be doing something for herself. She had worked hard to prove herself in this position, even if she was still getting used to the corporate world. Her thoughts occasionally wandered back to Jungkook, but she quickly focused again on her tasks.
Just as she was finishing up a report, her phone buzzed. It was a message from Suho.
Suho (via message): "Great work today, Y/N. Keep it up. We're impressed with how quickly you've adapted."
