Eddard and Cersei were able to pull something impossible with some blood shed. Eddard was nervous on being the new king but he had cersei by his side and those two can do anything.

Tywin was surprised that Eddard could do something like this however Tywin saw that his daughter in Queen and his grandchildren from his daughter will inherit the throne. His line will be impossible to break.

Eddard and Cersei agreed that Clara will married immediately.

Lady Clara, now known as Princess Clara married Lord Alfred Lannister. Making her the last rose.

(Half Stark and half Tyrell. House Tyrell became extinct).

Lord Brandon Stark, now known as the prince and heir married Lady Rowena Lannister.

( Daenerys only agreed to fight her brother Rhaegar if her first born daughter becomes Queen).

Prince Jon Stark married Lady Cassandra Baratheon on the agreement between houses.

The other noble and royal children married into great houses and all thrived. All because it started with some words and the people displeasure. 
Creating new dynasties that will last a long time and old ones never breaking. Sealing bonds forever.
