Meredith H. Winsler
Patient 102 has finally found out her name with the help of nurse Jackie. Nurse Jackie helps Meredith remember who she was by telling her the real reason she came to Stonehearst Asylum, but first asking "Meredith? Is it okay that I call you by your real name?", Meredith replies "Yes. It will also help me get used to it", nurse Jackie continues "Okay, Meredith. I found out that you are currently suffering from amnesia you got from a head trauma that happened earlier this year when you were trying to escape a hidden/sealed room somewhere here, where your sister Julia was tortured or shall I use the professional terminology; treatment sessions, until nurse Phoebe intervened during her session times and tried to help her escape which she successfully did, however, there was an unfortunate consequence where she became confined and taken to the hidden room which became her personal death bed."
Overwhelmed with disturbing information, Meredith becomes more and more curious to know what happened to her exactly. She wants to know more so she pushes Jackie to give answers in detail. Jackie reassures her before she continues "Don't hurt your brain nerves from thinking too much about what I'm saying and about say. I don't want you to fall into a traumatic state." Meredith responds glaring at Jackie with a bewildered look on her face "just continue".
"Well, okay, sweetie." says Jackie with a side smile faintly dejected, "You were a doctor here. Doctor MH Winsler. You were looking for Julia after she went missing. Julia in fact is most likely alive, but lord knows where. Little did you know, you were made to think Julia was Phoebe who went missing at the same time as Julia. You found a file patient 102, you figured it out until..." she took a deep breath "...until your ex husband declared you mentally unstable by connecting you with Julia because he was having an affair with Doctor Bloom, who happened to be a senior which you found out when you caught them red - handed. Doctor bloom told you to keep it between them and not involve others in the matter, but..".
Meredith slowly begins to get her memories back "but I refused and let the whole ward hear about my husband's infidelity with Dr Bloom in detail. And Dr Bloom out of rage and embarrassment did this to me by having me be tortured with an electricuter and lock me up as a patient. After I lost my memory she left, thinking I had gone crazy for good." staring at blank point, her eyes fill with water about to pour out exposing her desolated soul.
Now Meredith has regained her memory, plans a way of getting out of this hell hole. Nurse Jackie plans on helping her, she has attached her emotions so deeply to Meredith's past that she can't back out of helping her.
Nurse Jackie, once again asks the warden for help in getting a release form for Meredith. She contacts Meredith's mother-in-law to help sign the release form and take her out of the asylum as her guardian. Warden gets info that only Meredith's husband, Peter can release her from her imprisonment at Stonehearst because he put her in that position. Jackie and Meredith are told by the mother-in-law that Peter moved out right after Meredith had gone for a months. She also adds, "rude, young woman he was seeing might know where he is.", by 'rude young woman' both assume it's Dr. Bloom. This makes it harder for Meredith to be a free woman.
Dr. Bloom has no idea that Meredith got her memory back and can take legal action for what Dr Bloom had done to her, if she gets out. So, nurse Jackie pretends like she stopped researching. Jackie asks her manager for a break.
During her break, she stumbles upon an address under the name Sarah Bloom, with the help of the Warden at ward 11. Jackie makes her way to Sarah Bloom's door, an unfamiliar woman opens the door asking Jackie what she wants, with a bitter attitude.
Jackie responds in a well manner, "Hi, I'm actually looking for Dr. Bloom, I'm not sure if this is her address?", the stranger replies "I am her. what do you want from me?" she asks. "I.. actually received a note from you. I'm Jackie, btw, a nurse at Stonehearst." She notices why Jackie is at her front door and out of fear of it becoming a legal matter, she says in rush, "Whatever it is, I can't help, sorry".
Jackie steps her foot down, without leaving the door trying to convince Sarah saying, "I just came here to say, the note got to me, I stopped. And.. um.. it's not worth losing my job for, helping a patient find their past is too much work, especially for a small person like me." she gains sarah's trust and so she is invited in.
They discuss past and other female related things, til Jackie notices a picture of a man holding Sarah cosily, she picks the photo up and looks at it wondering who this mysterious stranger may be. To her luck, Sarah explains, "Ah, that is the love of my life, Peter. He finally set himself free from this wretched woman he was forced to be with. I haven't seen him since 2 days ago though." As Jackie is departing, she asks Sarah, "I enjoyed the company, we should hangout more, how about that new bar across the street tonight.. what's it called..?" to which Sarah agrees "Sure. I think it's Black Swan".
That night, Jackie and Sarah have a few drinks and enjoy themselves. Sarah reveals everything that Jackie already knows out of intoxication from all the alcohol they had. Jackie walks Sarah home to a hot-tempered man, who looks exactly like Peter. Sarah and Peter argue that night as Jackie watches from a distance.
Peter agrees to driving Jackie home, while in his car, she asks a few questions about the 'wretched' woman Sarah was going on about earlier, "Sarah said something about a wretched woman you freed yourself from, must've been quite a journey." Angering Peter even more requests her to stop talking. He drops her home and goes back to deal with Sarah.
Jackie began wondering what happened and why her head feels so heavy all of a sudden, she hurries to her bed and lays her head to rest on her cool comfy pillow.
Jackie wakes up the next morning with a displeasuring headache, she tries to clear her mind and head back to Sarah's. As she is about to proceed towards Sarah's door, Peter intercepts, "Why do you keep coming back? Sarah might not see through you, but I surely can! Who the hell do you think you are interfering in our personal matter?! Just leave us be".
Jackie ignores him and moves aside continuing towards the door, all of a sudden, Peter grabs ahold of her arm and prevents her from moving any further, threating to call the cops. Jackie doesn't take the threat so seriously, "Go ahead. I'll just tell them my side as well, I'm sure the bruises you are currently applying to my skin will remain by the time they're here." He let's her go and asks her, "Why are you doing this? What are you trying to gain", she replies, "information.", "About what?" with an obscure appearance on his face, he asks.
She then tells him, "How about your ex, Meredith? Was it? Or do you also call her by patient 102?", outraged by that response, he quickly shoves her to one side, keeping their distance short, whispering, "What about Meredith?!". Jackie asks he sign a few papers for her release, which at first he hesistantly declines, but somehow Jackie convinces Peter, by using threats against him.
