  One week later

Eating on my lunch break is something I wouldn't usually do, especially with these baldheaded lil girls that always kidnap me to try and get in my business. Almost every day since I've been employed here they have been talking to me and being friendly and shit. I never really minded so I just didn't say nun.

So right now me, Cory, Senae, and semaj were in the break room, me  staying on my phone watching insta reels with the food Senae bought me just sitting infront of me getting cold, while Semaj  and the girls were gossiping about something while looking back at me.

Tf they talking about??

It seems as though the three of them caught on to me looking at them confused, so they all settled back in their chairs, going Back to the warm Chick-fil-A that they had infront of them with expressions on their faces like they were four year olds that just got caught saying a bad word for the first time.

Seeing that no one was going to address what they were just keke-ing about I just shrugged to myself and looked down to my phone. I'm great at minding my business, if it wasn't meant for me to hear then fuck it.

It seems as though the only sound that was in the room came from the three of them eating the fuck out of them dry ass chicken sandwiches until semaj cleared his throat, making everyone look up with eyes on him

"Yo, I think you should just tell him at this point, he can't be mad for too long" semaj said as he fidgets with his fingers in his lap, looking mostly at cory and ignoring the side eye Senae gave him out of his peripheral.

Cory sat up in her seat as quick as she could as she pounded her chest, trying to get the dry peice of chicken that she was choking on out of her throat with her cup of lemonade.

"Wh-what you talking bout boy" she said between coughs, looking at everything but me as she nervously twirled one of her thick dreads

" you know what I'm talking about, don't know if ari know tho" semaj said as he smirked while looking me up and down

" ugh semaj you so fucking messy, can't stand lightskin niggas" Senae mumbled as she shook her and and pinched the bridge of her nose

" you just as bright as me, fuck you on??" Semaj sneered, making Cory roll her eyes at the both of them. They are realy not helping her situation right now.

" okay, what are you all talking about..?" I said, interrupting the argument that was about to start between the two lightskins they alway argueing about something and usually that would annoy me but as the months went by with me working here it never actually got serious so it was entertaining.

As soon as I spoke Cory's eyes widened as her lips folded in, looking to Senae to see if she could be any help.  When Senae only shook r her head cory looked back at me , trying to come up with something.

"S-so basically-"
"So you see-"
"So what happened was-" Cory says,cutting herself off while trying to find the right words.

With me just waiting for her to spit the shit out semaj had enough of Cory making it a big deal so he spoke up, breaking the silence in the quiet break room.

" she set you up with a nigga so we can all get free vip to this chill ass club in Fort Worth " semaj stated as he nonchalantly got up to throw away his trash

"Man what the fuck semaj-this why we don't tell yo funky ass nothing " Senae said with clear adittude in her voice

"Okay but with Cory stuttering ass we woulda been here all damn day, look we  already only got 7 minutes left. Yo crunchy wig ass should be thanking m-"

" who wig crunchy?? " Senae questioned with a scary expression on her face.

"Who else got a wig on in here.." semaj said as he looked around the small break room

Seeing the Senae was about to respond I quickly interrupted

" so.. Cory you did what?" I said as I squinted my eyes at her

Why would she set me up with anyone. And  a nigga at that, I've only had one girlfriend back in Highschool and that shit didn't end well so I just chilled on the whole dating thing. But then again, I don't be telling them my business so I can't be mad at her.

" so you see, yknow how I'm always talking about that famous streamer? Ky? I be sending you clips of him? " she said as she fidgets with the name tag on her uniform.

Uhh, I'm not gonna lie I don't really be checking my notifications on insta, a nigga just be scrolling so no I don't know who the hell she talking about right now.

" yeah, what about him?"

" he having his birthday party at that club "midnight dreams" this weekend "

Okay..??

" okay, what that gotta do with me"
" he want you to be there, he said if I bring you we can all get a vip section " she said nervously. Why she acting like imma come across the table and smack her into a wall or sumn?

Before I can form a response Senae jumps in

"Ari before u say anything. We all need to get out and live a little..when's the last time you let loose and got fucked up?" She said as she got in his face, smooshing both of my  cheeks together.

Mm...I wasn't even gon be mad Fr, but now that I'm thinking about it they kinda right.  I haven't been smoking like that no more, I haven't got drunk on my ass since my 21st and I haven't been laid in I don't know how long, I stopped all that in Highschool.

So free vip for all of us, drinks, a good time and all I gotta do is play friendly with a streaming nigga?

Say lesss , I can take one for the team I guess.

" aight, I'm chill with it I guess. I do need to get out a lil bit.. " I mumbled as I pulled off senaes manicured hands off my face

"HORAAYY" she squealed as she did a little happy dance

Seeing that he wasn't mad, Cory put a hand on her chest as she let out a sigh of relief

" see I told you yo ass was doing too much, my nigga ari chill like that" semaj taunts

" thank you so much ari, I swear I won't do that shit again , I really wanted to meet him"

"It's coo" I say. It's not even that serious, it's not like I gotta fuck the nigga, right??

...right??

" yeah okay,let's get the fuck up out here, lunch break over in like 2 mins" Senae says as she gets up and slings her purse over her body

We all agreed as we started getting up and throwing away our trash.

Throwing away all that food Senae bought made me feel kinda bad but.. I aint ever ask her to buy me nun, I don't be hungry fr.

" we can FaceTime once our shifts end?" Semaj said , making everyone look up at him

We all mumbled an agreement, but I know I'm not bout to answer that boy FaceTime. I gotta whole other job

With that, Senae and semaj returned to their registers as me and Cory went to the stock room to start getting things we need to put back on shelf's

' please don't be an ugly nigga' ari prayed as started stocking the chip aisle. He never questioned his sexuality, so he didn't really care that it was another man. He just never had a thing for ugly dudes. I'm pretty sure no one does.
